I went to this Wendy's location this evening. The entire restaurant reaked of chemicals. It turns out that one of the workers was frantically cleaning the side of the fry cooker with a chemical product within a foot of uncooked fries which I watched to be later served. My order was placed on the counter without dine-in tray or take away bag which I found a bit "lack luster". After requesting a tray the employee named Majd provided a tray though appeared very had done by to do so. I asked for his name which he seemed quite confused by and eventually roughly pointed towards his name tag. He informed me that that do this every evening (which I had never witnessed) and that he has worked here every night for the past year. After stating that seemed odd as I had never seen him before, he clarified that he sometimes worked here but usually in the morning. I ate my relatively unimpressive meal and left the store.
Immediately and rather assertively a man approached me at the front door and asked what my problem was? Frankly, I was quite caught of guard. Although under no obligation, I informed him of the service that I had just received and of the dishonesty the Wendy's team member had just displayed. This seemed to due little but further his aggressive demeanor, but we parted ways. I returned inside to inform the team of what had just occurred. Majd and the supervisor simply turned their backs and completely ignored my inquiry.
So from chemicals on the food, to lousy service and customer service, to blatant dishonesty, to a potentially violent altercation, to be ultimately disregarded as a "we do whatever we want here" attitude, I would STRONGLY recommend that the owner of this particular franchise visit as a secret shopper and respond to this post as to the service they personally received. Poor training, remove manager...
Read moreUsually I do not go there but my mother&l kinda think fries are better than McD…. So here I wanted to give a try. First around 1:00pm a big truck was emptying something right behind the screen where we order. So I have to repeat myself multiple times. I assume the lady at the other end was also not understanding very well .
Any ways I order two kids meals large fries no salt and a frosty. She asked anything else I answered yes.: she said next windows .. I have to ask again I have more to order … anyway she said windows 2. I stopped on windows 1 .. and here I see the lady raising her hands like I did something very bad to her kids lol.
Any ways she fauve me my order I stay in front of the windows to see. If I have everything.
My mother in L realize we only have 1 kids meal.
I tell to the lady can u add the second one . She answers. I only charge you for one.
If you need an other one just free the drive true and go back behind the line. She then add , the food for the car behind you is ready I cannot make you a new order now just drive and go back true all the drive true..
At first I felt upset because I never experienced just a poor customer service.
At McDo they definitely add what ever you ask them to add then they make you wait. They never send me to line up again…
So I definitely give 1start and I won’t recommend that location on Walkley . I won’t never Order from...
Read moreFirst of all, if there was management there it was NOT obvious. The staff were roaming almost aimlessly. With one couple in front of us (who ended up leaving before ordering) we waited over 10 minutes. No acknowledgement from staff, no "be with you in a second". Silence.
When someone did finally help us, he was told by a drive thru worker to "stop taking orders and help get food out". Which brings me to the next part of the review. Drive thru needs to STOP being a priority over in store customers. Everywhere, this is an issue.
After over 20 minutes waiting, we got our food and came home. I paid extra for gravy (poutine sauce, as they call it) and pic attached is what I got.
I don't really blame the staff, management needs to step up and retrain the staff and do their jobs as leaders. Not let the staff flounder as they have been.
I've been in a management role for 20 years, I've worked fast food and I can tell you that most of these issues are because of lack of proper leadership and delegation.
Management needs to step up and do their...
