Yorgo's Greek Food & Pizza — Restaurant in Ottawa

I have been ordering from Yorgos for 5 years now at Clyde Ave.

My family thoroughly enjoys any of the items on the menu, as we have ordered probably everything there. The service is always great, except a few weeks ago. The new driver brought our food and a smile even as i turned him away for not having my food in a bag this time.

The importance for me is that the food is kept as warm as possible until it reaches us..and i am very picky about that.

I then called the manager. I was put on hold, and decided to hang up and go there and speak my mind in person.

I was greeted by Zane the manager. I pulled him aside and expressed my grief. He listened without interuption and accepted my complaint.

Then he asked how he could make things right. I responded that it wasnt about the money or the quality of food nor the staff, rather the acknowlegment of the complaint and a promise not to let it happen again. He appologized most sincerely and spent time with me to make sure i got it all off of my chest.

Now i know things can happen and change with time, how ever, the service and quality i cannot compare, as they consistantly provide and i want to keep on ordering from them.

By the way, not only did Zane give me a healthy discount but he also made a new batch of wings so i could eat something hot on the way home. My family once again ate their favortie food, YORGOS.

Thank you Zane and STAFF for hearing me out and having an excellent attitude about my displeasure.

I recommend Yorgos at Clyde or Barhaven as Zane manages both to anyone who wants to eat healthy and well.

I have been going to Yorgos for years now, and the food is worth the drive! (I live outside of their delivery area.) It is a family run small business, and you will alway be greeted by brothers Nehme and Muhammad in a friendly manner. It is always a pleasure to have a lovely conversation with them. Their hard working father is often there helping out in the background too. They have the most delicious Greek salad dressing in the world! It is an amazing family recipe. You will always want to order extra! It is a take out restaurant, with a some bar stools if you want to eat at the counter. They are busy with pick up orders and delivery. My go to meal is the chicken souvlaki platter. The large chunks of chicken are seasoned and grilled to perfection always. The homemade tzatziki is fabulous too...order extra. My husband enjoys the pizza with its crispy crust and tasty melted cheese. A wonderful family run business who aim to please. Order early on a Friday/Saturday night...they get busy! Yorgos on Clyde Avenue, just near the sharp curve, tucked in a plaza, has the BEST CHICKEN SOUVLAKI in the city...

We used to order from Yurgo’s all the time years ago for both Greek and pizza and they never disappointed. We moved decided to try a different pizzeria which we also loved and continued to order from. Recently we decided to go back to Yurgo’s just to switch things up and we ordered twice since then. First order we had no issues (pizza and wings), second time we did 3 topping pizza and wings and instead we got a very mediocre pepperoni pizza and ok wings. I called back and told them it was the wrong order and they admitted it was their fault and would give me a free pizza the next time so I said sure. When we called back yesterday to redeem this “free” pizza all of a sudden that offer didn’t exist and we were offered a $5.00 credit for the inconvenience and the difference for the toppings. If I had known they were going to retract their offer I would have made them make us a new pizza and send it to us that very same day because the pepperoni pizza was not enjoyable. I will not be ordering from Yurgo’s again and should have just stuck to my always reliable and delicious pizzeria...
