Amrikko's Indian Grill — Restaurant in Parksville

So one friday night I decide to look for a restaurant that serves Indian cuisine and I found this little gem in Parksville.

I check out the online menu and call my take out order. Informed it will take 35 mins, cool. Make my way to the place and arrive 5 mins early.

Go inside and this place is BUSY!! I mean BUSY! The restaurant is packed and there is a line up for take out pickup. Wow.

The staff is zipping around getting orders, bringing out food, take out orders are flying by. The staff is awesome, they get me sorted out and though I had to wait a little longer, I could understand why.

So I ordered the Navattan Korma (hot) and it was fresh and spicy! The Bombay prawns (hot) was not spicy, kinda boring. The Butter chicken (med), it was good but I think I shouldve ordered it hot since the kick wasnt really there. I did forget to order the rice! So I had to make some when I got home lol.

All in all, I liked the food, the service was great considering how busy the place was. I certainly recommend this place if you want some good...

Ordered food for pick up and was pleasantly surprised. The portions were enough for 2 people! I ordered the spinach naan which was perfect, and the variety box. The samosas were excellent, they're were well spiced, but not spicy. The pakora was good, and the chicken pieces were nice and juicy. The box also came with a mint chutney which was mild, and a tamarind chutney which also was not overpowering. Just right for my white-girl tastebuds. While I have eaten in a few years back, the atmosphere of the restaurant is lacking, but also in my experience, sometimes the best food comes out of places like this! The hostess was lovely, and my food was hot, and ready on time. Plenty of parking around the building, I recommend...

Bad really bad....unexpectedly bad food. Ordered Mix veg for dinner after a tiring day. Elephant size cauliflower, broccoli and potatoes.....Maaan!!! its an indian restaurant representing indian cuisine....for god sake who puts Broccoli and mushrooms in an indian mix veg dish??? I re-checked, if i must hv called edo japan for the order...Lol.......addon to my temper the garlic naan...ridiculous...seemed like a dinosaur must have stepped on a dough....check for ur self ...pics attached!!!! Feel sorry for the food....RIP.....thnks anyways for not letting me...
