Read moreThe pizza here was really good. However, we made the mistake of thinking this place wanted to sell pizza. I called to order pizza and was told it would take two hours. I asked if they sold pizza by the slice, and they said yes, so I went in person. I was really excited and felt lucky that the exact pizzas I had hoped to order over the phone were available "by the slice." Since we had six people to feed, we ordered all of it.
When another customer came in to find that all the slices had been sold, the chef yelled at me. He told me that by buying his pizza, I was screwing him over. My mistake. I didn’t realize that by buying the very product he is selling, I could screw someone over. I suggest that policies around not selling pizza at this pizza restaurant be shared first internally with staff rather than yelling at customers AFTER taking their money. This place makes no sense. Time to go back to business school, methinks.
If they didn’t want to sell pizza, why were they open? If they didn’t want our order, why did they take our money?
Maybe he was having a bad day. Whatever the reason, the rest of the staff should keep that guy in the back cooking pizzas. He’s clearly not a people person.

Tucked away off the lower highway in Parksville, this is a must stop destination for any pizza lovers.
The atmosphere is very laid back with friendly vibes from the husband and wife team who run the place . The selection of pizzas are always fresh and hot, with a large variety of of flavors to meet your pizza fix.
Service is always fast and friendly, with usually no more than a few minutes wait even if it is busy. I believe this restaurant provides good value for your dollar and generous portions .
The FOOD ! I could go on forever, but this is the best pizza on the island if not the lower mainland. The dough is cold fermented for 48 hours giving it great flavour and structure . The topping and sauces are all high quality and there are great meat and vegetarian options.
I am a retired Ref Seal chef and I thought I made the best pizza until I tried Craig St. I would gladly drive 50 km or more just to get here but thankfully it’s only ten minutes from home.
If I could give it more than 5 STARS I would. So if you haven’t been yet , you’re missing out and need to make the pilgrimage to this culinary oasis.
