My sister and I decided to take our mom to Penticton for a bit of an outing today. At the end of the day we tried to decide where to go for a bite to have dinner. After Googling about places to go in Penticton, we decided on the Polish Bistro. All three of us could not have been happier. From the time we walked in the front door and were met by Walter and seated, it could not have been a nicer evening. The atmosphere is simple but beautiful and relaxing. The menu has a really nice selection of Polish/Eastern European meals. We had various combinations of perogies, cabbage rolls, meat balls and salad. Everything was so nicely made and flavourful. The perogies dough as so soft and nice. The fillings, of which I sampled four, were all nicely done. The cabbage rolls had nice flavour, and the cabbage was perfectly cooked. It could not have been better. We finished off with a small order of 3 perogies filled with wild blueberries and topped with a dollop of sour cream. Wow, what a perfect ending to the meal. Walter stopped by and talked to us and made us all feel very comfortable. You could see how much pride he took in his restaurant. Definitely, 100%, we will...
Read morePolish Bistro hits on every level. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated with some really cool murals of Poland on the walls. The classical jazz playing really sets the mood without being in your face.
Possibly the most impressive aspect was the service. The night we visited, one guy acted as host, waiter, food runner, receptionist (taking To-Go orders) and cashier. Having about 10 years experience in the restaurant industry myself, I found this to be extremely impressive. None of this is to say that the food wasn't fabulous - it absolutely was. $7 for a bowl of Borscht soup in this economy feels like a trip back in time! In fact this entire business feels like a piece of nostalgia. I'm drawing my own conclusions here but I'm going to assume that Polish Bistro is a good old fashioned family run establishment and it feels so good supporting hard working people like them. I strongly recommend you visit soon, and make sure you order a...

Having been to Poland myself, I was honestly surprised by how incredible the food was—it truly reminded me of the meals I had over there. The pierogies and schnitzel are both top-notch, and if you go, you have to add the mushroom sauce. It’s rich, flavourful, and takes everything to the next level.
It’s also awesome to see they offer a selection of Polish beers like Tyskie—such a nice touch that adds to the authentic vibe.
The gentleman who runs the front is incredibly kind and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxed environment that makes you feel at home from the moment you step inside.
