My sister and I decided to take our mom to Penticton for a bit of an outing today. At the end of the day we tried to decide where to go for a bite to have dinner. After Googling about places to go in Penticton, we decided on the Polish Bistro. All three of us could not have been happier. From the time we walked in the front door and were met by Walter and seated, it could not have been a nicer evening. The atmosphere is simple but beautiful and relaxing. The menu has a really nice selection of Polish/Eastern European meals. We had various combinations of perogies, cabbage rolls, meat balls and salad. Everything was so nicely made and flavourful. The perogies dough as so soft and nice. The fillings, of which I sampled four, were all nicely done. The cabbage rolls had nice flavour, and the cabbage was perfectly cooked. It could not have been better. We finished off with a small order of 3 perogies filled with wild blueberries and topped with a dollop of sour cream. Wow, what a perfect ending to the meal. Walter stopped by and talked to us and made us all feel very comfortable. You could see how much pride he took in his restaurant. Definitely, 100%, we will...

Polish Bistro hits on every level. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated with some really cool murals of Poland on the walls. The classical jazz playing really sets the mood without being in your face.

Possibly the most impressive aspect was the service. The night we visited, one guy acted as host, waiter, food runner, receptionist (taking To-Go orders) and cashier. Having about 10 years experience in the restaurant industry myself, I found this to be extremely impressive. There was a small mix-up with our order, but he handled it graciously and professionally, offering to rush the missed food or cancel it if we were no longer interested.

None of this is to say that the food wasn't fabulous - it absolutely was. $7 for a bowl of Borscht soup in this economy feels like a trip back in time! In fact this entire business feels like a piece of nostalgia. I'm drawing my own conclusions here but I'm going to assume that Polish Bistro is a good old fashioned family run establishment and it feels so good supporting hard working people like them. I strongly recommend you visit soon, and make sure you order a...

The Polish Bistro in Penticton is a fantastic spot, perfectly located and full of charm. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—cozy and inviting, with an authentic Polish feel, while still being a great place to relax, socialize, and enjoy a great meal.

Having been to Poland myself, I was honestly surprised by how incredible the food was—it truly reminded me of the meals I had over there. The pierogies and schnitzel are both top-notch, and if you go, you have to add the mushroom sauce. It’s rich, flavourful, and takes everything to the next level.

It’s also awesome to see they offer a selection of Polish beers like Tyskie—such a nice touch that adds to the authentic vibe.

The gentleman who runs the front is incredibly kind and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxed environment that makes you feel at home from the moment you step inside.

If you’re visiting Penticton and appreciate food made with care and heart, The Polish Bistro is absolutely worth a stop. A true taste of Poland right here in...

My wife found this bistro for supper. We walked in to a wonderful peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Very classy and clean. The owner served us and he was wonderful. Very dynamic and friendly. He took the time to take orders from each of our children, along them feel welcome. The owners wife is the chef and the food was prepared quickly and brought out fresh and hot. We had borsch which was clearly homemade. It reminded me of the borsch my wife and grandmother both make. Very authentic. The perogies were a generous size and also homemade. My favourite were the real authentic cabbage rolls with meat inside. No rice rolls here. The meatballs and pork schnitzel were also homemade and cooked perfectly. I have not been to a better Eastern European restaurant anywhere with better service or menu.. The Polish Bistro is a hidden gem in Penticton that everyone should check out. If you are Eastern European, or just enjoy great home cooked food, Polish Bistro is at the top of the list.

Great home cooked food with friendly service in a nicely decorated and very clean location. This restaurant serves authentic home cooked *delicious* Polish food....with a nice selection of all the classics. Every meal brings me right back to the many Sunday dinners at Oma's house from my childhood. An array of platters, lunch and dinner specials, and "build your own meal" options provide great value for the well portioned servings. Be sure to add a bowl of Borscht to your meal. Don't bother with the cup...you will regret it LOL Check out the nice selection of import Polish and Czech beers as well as great selections of local wines to choose from. Come hungry and be sure to try all of these 3 staples...cabbage rolls, pierogies, and cutlets - all are must try! If you are really hungry add a Polish sausage and enjoy!
