Poor customer service, I understand mistakes. When you ask for an order to go express you just want to make your have enough time to take it and eat it you don't expect to have to ask and remind them of the simple bagel you ordered and asked for 25 mins ago. I've worked in customer service majority of my life. There was no attempt to rectify the problem other than asked me to wait or get a refund. No there's your refund I am sorry, let me make this up to you Here's a baked good etc, or there's a total refund. There was a long line-up to order and a long wait for food. The way the food was handled was disgusting. One of the women touched the food and then licked her fingers, TWICE! I saw her pick-up some garbage from the floor and touch the sandwich she was preparing. I never saw her wash her hands once. I politely informed the man cleaning dishes, after the first time she licked her fingers, to remind the ladies in the back to wash their hands after touching their mouth or face. Hourglass is a bright, cheery, cozy space. It is equally suited to catching up with a friend over lunch, reading a novel with tea in hand while curled up on a couch (so comfortable!), or fuelling up on coffee while working on your latest project.

The friendly staff make ordering a pleasure, and without even mentioning anything else on the menu, the scones alone are entirely worth the visit.
