I came in for breakfast last week and had some breakfast, the deal on the board. The waitress asked me the usual questions. When it came to toast I said rye. I ate the meal it tasted like something I could easily make at home and went to the register. The waitress did not tell me that the rye toast was $1 extra. I paid extra for my breakfast that came out to $18.93 after tax and tip. And I told myself I'm never eating here again. Which is sad because I was just starting to get fond of maybe making it a regular stop. But that was my first breakfast experience there and last breakfast experience there and last overall experience as well. I went to Costco instead the next week. Bought 24 eggs and bigger sausages than they served for about the cost of two Peter's breakfasts cooked my own small potatoes and ate them with coffee jam and the works. Thanks to that experience at Peter's my cost effectiveness went up by a high margin I saved a bundle on eating out costs and that $18.93 bought me about 15 full breakfasts with left overs to boot! When I also purchased my meal the waitress said look at all the people lined up! Yes lined up to be overcharged and not told about it till payment. Never going...
Read moreMy wife and I had heard about Peter's Family Fare Restaurant from friends in Brockville, so we decided to head up on Sunday morning for breakfast! Okay, it's been a long time since I've seen BIG, juicy tasty sausages like this! I mean BIG! Eggs were cooked to my liking, over easy and my wife had hers sunny-side up. Hash browns and tasty strips of bacon! Service was prompt in spite of how busy the restaurant was. I guess the local townsfolk know how good Peter's in Perth is too. Reasonably priced too! The only thing keeping me from giving my rating 5 stars is that the table-to-belly placement is too close. We were in a 2 seater booth. I noticed that the 4 seaters were a bit wider. But the restaurant was busy and there's no way I'd put out a family of 4 for the sake of "ma big belly"! We'll be back to Peter's and do some more exploring of the lovely town of...
Read moreDecent but not the best general impression of the place. We went in on a Sunday towards the end of their day, and the place was half full, still it took at least 15mins to receive a baby booster seat, promised to us when we got seated. Also, it took a VERY long time to get a glass of water and the menus. On the menu was specified: breakfast all day on Sundays, yet when we tried to order, we were told they actually don’t serve breakfast anymore: the menu was just old and not up to date. (But why were we not told from the beginning, when we received the menus?!) On top of it, they were not serving also other items from the dinner menu: frustrating! The food arrived pretty fast, but the fries though hot, did not tasted the freshest. Didn’t leave the place hungry, but a little...
