Friendly Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Peterborough

I came here as a group of 4 to dine in, We ordered Starters, Curries, Nan breads, Biryani and Sweets. For starters it was dahi wada chat and samosa chat, these two starters were very good, I can say the taste was evenly matched like how we find in India. Next we ordered tandoori items, since my friends were vegetarians they ordered paneer tikka kebab and I ordered Mint chicken Tikka kebab. I had never tried these dishes before. But they didn’t disappoint, Everyone was loving it. For curries we ordered 4 of them, I wanted to try chicken as well as goat so I ordered 2 curries namely Chicken Dhansak and Goat Curry. Both were very tasty with Chicken Dhansak having a bit of spicy touch. We also ordered Chilli Garlic Nan Bread along with the curries.I had never heard about these varieties of Nan Breads in my life, Chilli Garlic Naan exceeded our expectations and it was a delight touch with the curries. We also ordered Malai Kofta and 1 Bhindi Masala which was Masaledaar (Ladyfingers dressed with spiced salad of finely cut veggies)😋. We also tried Vegetable Biryani which indeed tasted like indian biryani. At the end I ordered kheer to try how it was, and what can I say, i liked that as well. All in all our experience was good with the service they provided with the staff being very friendly and cooperative. The ambience in the dine in area was also good as it is a new restaurant and I hope they continue to maintain this level of Service and Food. I am definitely revisiting to try even more different dishes. Note - The prices of the dishes were reasonable compared to our experience...

This is the place! The place for great food. The place for great options and alterations to menu items at an amazing price. The place where you are more than just money, you are an amazing individual who is remembered and appreciated for your time and efforts. Om

Time and time again, Friendly Indian has made it the right choice when eating out during our changing times.

Called about 6pm for a reservation closer to 9:30ish. The service on the phone alone was so amazing and they made the time to listen and clarify our order perfectly.

We arrived and not only was it served immediately; It was fresh, delicious and served with as much love as I was treated with on the phone.

The next time we decided to eat here, we were recognized almost immediately by staff, greeted shortly by the owner asking how life was,(who by the way personally took our order

The worst experience ever in last four years of coming to this restaurant , both the girls were very disrespectful on the counter, we waited for 2hours for our food to dine-in, served there friends in 15mins ,gave priorities to delivery, ignoring the request to check on our food, after letting them know ahead we have 6hrs drive to catch, complete ignorance was been observed.

The store owner used to be really a great personality, I and my partner really wished he would be there to attend us, as he was the one who put the craze of pineapple chicken curry, we drove from cornwall to here just to have the dinner.

Last but not the least at time we have to rushed out because of our drive , girls throw a tantrum of an attitude to us, no apologies, gave the change in an inappropriate way of an act to be very disrespectful. Also my partner felt that him being a white guy was treated with least priorities then to the girls Indian friends picking up takeout orders or delivery drivers to the ones who ordered or arrived after we ordered.
