Another update on this horrible McDonalds. One of my girlfriends co workers said that she found a acrylic nail in her burger. Thats so disgusting. The fact that you see the nail fall off and land in the burger and you do not take it out shows how disgusting people that work here are. It is impossible that it was not seen while making the burger since you must notice it when you are putting toppings on the burger and notice one of your nails missing. The only thing offered to the girl was another burger. Thats messed up.
Update on how bad this McDonald’s is November 11, 2017. My girlfriend just went and ordered two junior chickens and one of them came without the chicken in it. I do not understand how you mess something up like that. When making the burgers dont you guys keep the buns open and put everything else on before the patties ? So this must be a joke or something or the person making the burgers is just stupid. Regardless the person making the burgers should be fired. Its not even like they forgot to put the lettuce or something, they forgot the chicken like how, it doesnt make any sense at all. This Mcdonalds is horrible
Everyone loves McDonald's but this location will make you hate it. All the bad things people say about McDonald's must be because of this location. Never once have i got any order in a decent amount of time. One morning i ordered a coffee was the only person there and had to wait because workers decide to talk and had to tell them if i can get my coffee so i can head o to work. If this place has a lot of people inside trying to order just leave because you will be waiting for at least 30 mins even if just a few people are in front of you. On top of waiting there is probably a 80% chance they will mess up your order then you got to wait again for your right order. I have been to this McDonald's maybe about 8 times since moving to pickering and more then half of the times i went i have received the wrong order and every time i have been here (yes every time) i have witnessed at least one persons order get messed up. To make it worse if they do something wrong they want to argue with the customers as if it is there fault. I don't understand how orders can be messed up so much, especially when your reading off a screen what to put in the bag plus reading off the printed receipt what the order is. The whole entire staff needs changing as this is the worst McDonald's most people have ever been to. Oh and on top of all this they have stuff on the self ordering menu that they do not have at this location but will argue with you when ordering it as if your suppose to know they don't sell the item. Had the staff argue with me also before because the self serving machine printed out blank receipts and when i told em they tried to make it seem as if i didn't order and did not even go to even fix it from printing blank receipts and can only imagine how many customers they still gave a hard time to though even after knowing its printing blank receipts. The WORST McDonald's i have been to in the world and the staff should be ashamed of themselves, also higher management should really make some changes here or investigate to find out for themselves...
Read moreMy dislike is only about the drive thru. It's not about quality of food. It's not about service of employees in drive thru. All is well in those respects.
But the drive thru design is an engineering nightmare.
Two drive thru lanes converging into one, and worst still after turning 90 degree along a curve on right.
You will see long queues due to this, you will see occasional bickering between drivers from two lanes while converging and trying to be smart, you will also see occasional drivers Tyres going up the curb because of curve in 90 degree direction. This may not be a huge problem on a lazy Sunday morning but it becomes a tornado of cars on busy evenings of weekends..
Even if it is due to space constraints but it could have been designed much better than what it is at the moment. Being an engineer I know it's doable but some improvisations are order of the day.
Its appears to be a window dressing of presenting this franchise as a very busy unit all the time, whereas in reality the long queues are due to two lanes converging into one and that too in a steep curve.
Lastly this convergence results in so much stress for the innocent workers inside that they actually have to note down license plate numbers, then they request drivers to move over, then they go on foot outside to drivers and give the ordered items.
Thats not how a franchise owner should deal with their biggest asset. It's not the building but it's the employees who are a franchisee's biggest asset.
Real reason for mistakes in employees order delivery as mentioned by other commenters appears to be the wrong design of drive thru which keeps long queues a routine feature on busy days and hence workers are stressed out, freaked out and burned out. I really do empathise with those...
Read moreEnough is enough!!! I've been going to this McDonald's for years, generally I empathize with the staff as i have also worked in the fast food industry. I've hoped that they'd improve all this time but no.
So in light of this, here's a few things to mention about this location specifically:
First, the drive through. They prioritize getting there window time down, which is one, unethical, and two against the rules so that they can get bonuses, that they frankly do not deserve. Head office if you are reading this, pose as a regular customer for an audit and you'll experience it first hand.
Secondly, Every time I have visited this location because of convivence, it seems like they are trying to rush through orders without any regard for accuracy. Not only do they mess up many customers orders, but they often handover the wrong orders because they simply don't check the receipt of the customer before the handover.
Lastly, most will understand that restaurants do get busy, its understandable when orders are wrong because of customer volume, but the frequency of that happening is frustrating. Often enough even during non peak hours, the staff appears overwhelmed and disorganized, seeing them prioritize speed over quality and customer satisfaction.
This is saddening to say that although I have been a customer there for so long, all I can now say to others is that, If you value your time and want your order done right, I highly recommend avoiding...
