Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in Pickering

I order delivery from this place almost every occasion. This time however I was VERY shocked. My intelligence was insulted and I felt like I was being scammed. I ordered two medium pizzas and a wing it box for me and my cousins who are visiting. The timer on the app finished so I called pizza pizza to see if I still had to pay, the lady said "it's for sure free because your driver is late". When the driver finally arrived we tipped him $10 and thanked him. His response was "what about the pizza?". I explained to him how he was late and that customer service said the meal was free. This gentleman baffled me when he said "no, it is not free unless it's ten minutes before or ten minutes after" ..... 10 minutes before What????!!!!! 10 minutes before I order the pizza?? He proceeded to wave the bill saying how much I owe. I grabbed the bill from him and pointed out the part where it says "if order arrives after 12:49 it is free" ... it was 12:56. I asked him to show me where it has this 10 minute rule he mentioned, he was speechless. I then told him if I'm wrong to please have his manager call me and I'd be happy to...

June 29, 2025 ⭐️ I went to Pizza Pizza for a quick meal and ordered a large pizza over the phone as soon as I parked out front. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting nearly 30... double the time.

What made it worse was seeing at least six staff working in the back, yet no urgency or explanation for the delay. When I finally got my pizza, I opened the box to find several slices missing pepperoni. I was told the toppings were "tucked between the slices" a poor excuse. Maybe invest in a sharper cutter instead of rushing out sloppy orders.

Ironically, the pizzas on display for single-slice orders looked far better than mine. This visit reminded me why I haven’t been to Pizza Pizza in years. The quality and care in preparing orders seriously needs improvement, as does the wait time.

The restaurant was clean, and they do carry Kawartha ice cream, which is a nice touch, but when there are so many pizza places to choose from, service and consistency need to be...

So, my husband brought home Pizza Pizza for dinner, and the moment he opened the boxes I could tell these pizzas were missing something. The cheese was about half of what it should have been. It didn’t even cover the pizzas. When my husband returned them citing that the advertised picture clearly indicated twice as much cheese, the manager told him he must not understand advertising in Canada. The manager then proceeded to say that if he took a picture of my husband’s face, it would not look like the real thing. The picture always look better than real life. I’m not sure why the manager thought that my husband’s face was the best example of a thing that looks worse in real life, but needless to say we won’t be back there again until my husband feels the need to have his face...
