Picked up food from here on Mothers Day. Usually it's a good experience but this time was terrible. We ordered 4 naan's that were included in the special. However, upon arrival, we get told that they ran out of naan and instead offered 3 cans of pop. Then there was the butter chicken which he didn't charge for because they didn't have another dish. The butter chicken was literally chunks of tandoori grilled chicken that was burnt put into the curry and passed off as butter chicken. On top of that they forgot to put in any of the sauces. Upon calling them, a voicemail was left to point out the missed items; however we never got a call back.
My wife called them again only to be told by a very passive server that he didn't know that's how food was prepared in the back. He kept kept going back to the point that he would give us free butter chicken next time we come back.
The fact is that I am not looking for any free stuff. I want a quality meal and staff who are able to deal with customer service issues like this more effectively. Had he called back when we ordered, and told us something was not available and provided a decent alternative instead pop cans, and not charged full price for items we never got, this would have been a much more...
Read moreLast word first: Food was great. Prices were the lowest imaginable.
Details: It was self service but served in pretty china and steel utensils. Place was very nice, inviting atmosphere, and friendly people.
Food was fresh and the bread (looked like Indian Naan) may have been baked on site.
They serve a mixture of middle eastern foods from various counties. Some dishes had Persian names and some others sounded Indian or Afgan. Portions were reasonable. My wife and I (total weight: 275 lbs) had one dish (Sultani) and my mother had Barg. They are basically skewered beef Kebabs and came with rice and side salad. The two meals was enough for the three of us ($30 with beverages). Even though there were no wait staff, we left a $5 tip because the food seemed unfairly inexpensive.
Will go back and unless you regularly spend upwards of $100 per meal, it is hard to imagine anyone walking out disappointed. Prices for the main course go from $5 wraps to $15 salmon and as I said, it feels like you should pay more for a clear conscious.
Looks like a family operation and they spell the name as "Kabab" where the dish is mostly spelled as "Kebab." I guess a name could be spelled in any way you want but it makes it a little funny...
Read moreTried it for the first time. I had called in a pick-up order for the Mix Grill for 2. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the yummy scents of exotic spices and grilled meats. I just wanted to stand there and breathe it in for a few minutes, it was that good. (I come from North Eastern Europe, we don't have anything that smells anywhere near as good. Seriously) The restaurant is VERY clean and decorated in warm, inviting wood tones, while the lighting is slightly muted. The food...the food is TOO DIE FOR! The meats were all perfectly grilled, with an excellent balance of heat and seasoning. I really enjoyed the beef shish kabab. The rice was tender and moist, without being mushy or oily, with a well developed flavour that served as a perfect accompaniment to the meats. I had read about the Tandoori Chicken Fries in another review and asked the owner about them. Even though they were not part of the Take-out menu, he immediately placed and order for me...AWESOME SERVICE! And yes, you really should try them. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely be eating from there again. If you're calling in an order, call at least 30 minutes ahead as everything is made fresh and wait...
