I had mixed experiences. I went on Mother’s Day and it was fantastic! What an ambiance and all of our food was so fresh and delicious. I had the shakshouka and yellow smoothie. I raved to everyone I knew. We went back for Fathers Day and it was not at all as I expected. Our latte’s were room temperature and in my opinion nothing special. Our pancakes were only 2( I thought we would be getting 3) and they were soaked in syrup when we got them, I mean soaked! I was u see the impression we could pour the amount we wanted. The merguez sausage was dry and tasted like cheap quality meat, I was embarrassed because I praised my halloumi shakshouka we previously ordered and this was 😕.. not so good. The poached eggs in them were way over cooked. Also the challah bread got dry and cold before we even got to the dish and I ordered double bread. My shooey bagel was like overcooked dry egg( no yolk whatsoever) when I ordered poached . ( 😒 annoyed) And the bacon was chewy and fatty, almost microwave tasting. The first time we tried bacon is was great ( I think my mother told them extra crispy). The bagel and sour dough was very hard and dry. I hate to be so negative when I was so proud of it on Mother’s Day, but I was actually embarrassed when I brought my family there this time. But.. breakfast potatoes were consistent and delicious! Oh and my yellow smoothie this time ( again I originally bragged about it) was almost a juice that ONLY tasted like orange. I didn’t taste any ginger or turmeric. ( I feel like they screwed up and gave me fresh squeezed orange juice) but it almost had a commercial OASIS O.J taste 😐 This was at the West...
Read moreWe recently celebrated our wedding at Pigeon Club Café, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
The décor is absolutely stunning. The warm lighting, combined with lush greenery and elegant indoor trees, created a magical, intimate atmosphere that perfectly matched our vision. The unique layout of the space gave our wedding a distinctive charm. We held our ceremony under the trees on the mezzanine, and then enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends and family on the lower level, near the bar, with the patio doors open.
The staff were exceptional! Very attentive, friendly, and highly professional. On the wedding day, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything went smoothly, and were always ready to accommodate any request. Several guests even mentioned how the bartenders remembered their drink preferences after only a couple of refills, which added a personal touch.
We entrusted the food planning to the restaurant owner, Sean, which took a big part of the planning off our plate. His expertise in both the restaurant and event business ensured that every guest was well-fed. The food was fresh, flavourful, and presented beautifully. Our guests raved about how delicious each dish was, which truly enhanced the overall experience.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced wedding venue with stunning décor, a warm ambiance, and outstanding service, Pigeon Club Café is the perfect choice. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate our special day, and we highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreI was really excited to come check this place out. They had a vegan cookbook (Thug Kitchen) in the entrance and so I was hopeful they might have at least one vegan option. Unfortunately, they did not have any vegan food. Though I was disappointed, I am aware that not every resto has a vegan option but it seemed confusing given the vegan cookbook? I asked the waitress if the breakfast potatoes were cooked with oil or butter (always go for potato side when nothing else). She said she was not sure but would not go ask the kitchen. She said they would probably have to make it totally unseasoned and it would just be bare potatoes so I should not get it. I was unhappy that she would not even check with the kitchen. She said just get waffle fries instead. 5 dollars for the breakfast potatoes vs 9 dollars for the waffle fries. I was hungry so I said okay I guess. The fries come and for 9 dollars I expected it to be a nice portion. It came in a very small bowl and was absolutely not an appropriate amount of fries for NINE dollars. I also ordered a latte (thankfully they did have non-dairy milk). When my latte came, it was lukewarm and not enjoyable at that temperature at all. It was not even remotely hot. Overall, I will not be returning or recommending the restaurant. It sucks because the vibe is cute. But it was just really...
