I was let down by my takeout experience at this Subway location. I ordered a sub for $15.89 and the Dorito Footlong Nachos for $4. The employee told me that they no longer had the footlong plastic tray, but could make the nachos in a bowl. The bowls didn't have any lids, so she took the nachos to a back room and covered them in plastic food wrap.
At checkout, I was presented with a subtotal of $20.36, instead of the $19.89 that I expected. The employee made several excuses, including "I charged you correctly" and "the nachos are discontinued so I charged you the same price with another item". Finally when I explained that $15.89 + $4 is $19.89 a third time to another employee, they adjusted my bill by charging a lower priced cookie instead of the nachos. At this point I just paid (a lower price than what I was expecting) and left.
My concerns are fourfold: One of Subway's differentiating features is that the food is prepared in front of you. It was unexpected for the employee to take my food into a back room to cover it. I was overcharged. The register did not show the itemized list to the customer, only a subtotal and total. The small screen showing the subtotal and total was tilted up, almost vertical, and was difficult to read. The POS terminal only showed the total price. This configuration made it difficult for me, as a customer, to identify an error like this. The employees kept on arguing with me about how the nachos were discontinued, as if they're doing me a favour, and as if I'm supposed to know this when they are hanging a prominent banner under the menu advertising it.
Overall, this was a disappointment. None of these problems alone are particularly serious, but together they form a pattern of that works against...
Read moreI don’t know what subways is trying to do, but it’s not a build your own sub shop anymore. They have a completely new menu and when you order you are pretty much stuck with what that sandwich is suppose to have. I couldn’t choose my bread, cheese and when I asked to add bacon to it, it was like the end of the world. My boyfriend had asked for a chicken and bacon sandwich on the fine herbs bread, when another guy came over to take over his sandwich and asked my boyfriend what it was, the guy almost restarted the sandwich because it wasn’t “following the recipe”. When my boyfriend said he wanted a different kind of cheese, the guy was trying to push the cheese that was “suppose to be on it”. And don’t get me started on the quantity of what they put on. They meats are practically nothing and the veges are sprinkled on. My sandwich was meant to have crispy onions and the person gave me a pinch of them. I think I might’ve tasted it once while eating. For two twelve inch trios it came out to $60!!! I might as well have gone to a proper restaurant. After looking at my bill it seemed like they charged the drinks and...
Read moreI don't know why I keep trying subways, they keep dissapointing me.
Started going to this one again, service is super slow sometimes but the bread was moist every time so far but at one point the spinach looked really bad so I call him out on it, he tells me it's the condensation. I'm like well give me the ones that still look like leafs, not the ones that looked like sauted them? He removes every spinach from my sub even the leafs that are fine and tries it again.
By the way, if you store your spinach correctly this will not happen and if does happen, don't pass it to the customer!
The next day or day after, I go back, no spinach. The guy says, he'll have some on saturday. I go back on sunday, still no spinach. You have a grocery store right next to the business, I don't understand why a day later that you said you were gonna have some, you still...
