I have been eating pizza from this location since the early 80's. This is when, where they are situated now was a little family owned convenience store. Run by a very lovely couple. So my status with this location is from nothing but straight more than enough experience plus being a long term repeat customer as the pizza was that good & other foods offered were always top notch. There have been sever bumps over the last say 15 yrs or so when the owners retired & passed it down to part of the their youger family members to keep it in the family. This is where quality changed drastically however the prices did not reflect these low quality ingredients being used at that time. This caused a family uproar as they changed a tried & true tested recipes by choosing such low quality products. Due to this the older family said fix it or lose it. So they slowly but surely did go back to, I would say better products still not what was original to the Remo's elder who opened ran & operated this family business, very successfully for so many years prior. Lately as I am in my mid 50's have come into some pretty serious health issues that restrict me from many foods I have grown to love & enjoy my whole life. The last 2 times I had ordered food which is the same pizza we have been eating here with no deviation for years now, always the Jim's Super Special with extra cheese, add pinapple. We always ask for 4 place settings, fork, knife, plate etc. The only time our order changes is when we add like a Greek or Ceasar salad, sometimes a lasagna or just some form of addition. Every time I have left the hospital recently and I have been admitted at least 30 times over the last year alone. Unfortunately I can only have maybe and inch bite of the pizza due to health restrictions. However the craving I have is hard to explain, whether it be the smell of the pizza or just knowing it has always been comfort food for me and tastes so much better now that they have reinstated better products again. So normally I'll ask for a reg side Ceasar Salad as it's more along the line of what I can consume, however I have asked recently to have my Salad lightly dressed with the remainder of the dressing in a package to go, or just put it on the side so I can regulate how much to use based on my dietary restrictions. First hameer to the head I received was paying almost 5 dollars for for & plates that have always come with the meal free of charge if requested then they doubled my salad to a large when that is not what I had ordered and the cherry on the top was , I was charged for my dressing that they put on the side that came with my undressed Salad and charged me a fee for getting the sauce that is included in the price with the salad due to my health restrictions that I explained very clearly in detail to the young lady taking my order. I am 1 to stand up to things like this however I am not going to do it over the phone as it was Christmas time of the year and I am to weak to deal with this mentally at this point with the stresses I am under. San Remos is going down again from what I am seeing with their recent activities and expecting the oating customer to save them. My bill was inflated by almost $15.⁰⁰ than the regular price I have paid previously. Good thing I have over 20 plus receipts from over the last year showing depending who takes your order tou pay an extra 5 or 10 bucks here & there. Bad practices are starting to take place again and they are going to lose 1 of there local long time customers for good. When my health allows me I am going to have a sit down with the new management about these practices show them proof of as much & see what kind of response I will get. If not I will ask my dad to go down the hall & talk with Mrs Remo's as they reside in the same building locally and dad has always loved their pizza as well. Balls in there court now time to see how they address this serious
Staff have always been very friendly, the service is good for the most part, the dining area is very nice & open viewing of the park...
Read moreAfter reading all of the positive reviews, we were looking forward to great meal.
We arrived at the restaurant at about 6 and it was already very busy. We were seated at a small table in a busy part of the restaurant. It quickly filled to capacity. We ordered appetizers and meals. The service was slow. The restaurant was noisy, not really from patrons but rather it was from the bustle of the servers, kitchen and the almost incessant dinging of the kitchen bell. It would take the waitresses so long to pick up food the kitchen was hitting that bell almost non-stop. It was incredibly annoying. Also, there were constantly waiters and waitresses rushing by our table to take out meals, and deliver the take out orders. This is not where you go if you want a relaxing meal.
The party sitting at the table beside us, which was within 12 inches of our table, got their appetizers even though we ordered first. Finally our appetizer came. It was pretty good, tzatsiki and pita. Not the best I have ever had but still good. Within 2 minutes, my meal (pizza) arrived at the table. I even exclaimed my surprise to the server. I told the waitress I was not happy my pizza arrived at the same time as the appetizer. She indicated it was the kitchen's fault. On top of that it was about 7 more minutes until my spouse's meal arrived. I even had to ask her what the status of his meal was because I did not want to start before he did.
He ordered baked ravioli, which unexpectedly had large meatballs in it. I thought it might just be the way they made it but even the waitress was surprised. She noted that he had not got his garlic bread and told us she would get some. Another 10 minutes passed and still no garlic bread arrived. Again, I had to ask the waitress what the status of it was. After another few minutes she arrived with garlic bread which she advised us she had taken from another person's order. After a bite of it, I realized it did not matter when it arrived, it was not going to be eaten. It was just terrible. It tasted as if it had been brushed with olive oil which had gone a little rancid. The pizza, I have to say was pretty good, but not good enough for us to ever go back.
This restaurant is completely overrated. The staff was terse and the waitress was quick to blame the kitchen for all of the problems. They need a serious management overhaul here. And that annoying bell really needs to go.....it was one you would get in some greasy road-stop diner, not appropriate for what is attempting to be a trendy restaurant.
The only reason I give 2 starts instead of 1 was because of the pizza. Save your money and...

When it comes to pizza, there are countless variations, toppings, and styles to choose from, but there’s something uniquely comforting and undeniably satisfying about a well-crafted house special pizza. At San Remo Pizza, their House Special isn’t just a menu item—it’s a work of culinary artistry that combines a perfect balance of ingredients, flavor, and tradition. For pizza enthusiasts and casual diners alike, the House Special at San Remo offers a mouthwatering experience that captures the essence of what pizza is all about: delicious, satisfying, and made with care.
A Classic Approach to Quality Ingredients
The magic behind San Remo's House Special starts with the foundational elements that every pizza begins with—fresh dough, high-quality sauce, and premium toppings. At San Remo, the dough is made fresh daily, ensuring a crisp, airy crust that holds up to the weight of its toppings without becoming soggy. This perfectly chewy, golden-brown crust forms the ideal base, providing just the right balance of texture and flavor to support the other ingredients.
The sauce at San Remo Pizza is another key feature that distinguishes their House Special. Rich, flavorful, and not too sweet, the sauce is made from ripe tomatoes, fresh herbs, and just the right amount of seasoning. Its vibrant taste complements the other ingredients without overpowering them, adding an authentic, Italian-inspired foundation that enhances every bite.
The Toppings: A Perfect Harmony
What truly sets the House Special apart, however, is the harmonious blend of toppings. San Remo’s House Special is a carefully curated combination of traditional and indulgent ingredients that cater to a variety of tastes. The pizza is topped with a hearty helping of mozzarella cheese, which melts to perfection, creating that irresistible gooey texture that’s a hallmark of a great pizza.
Then comes the variety of meats—each chosen for its distinct flavor and texture. A generous portion of savory sausage, smoky pepperoni, and flavorful ham creates a medley of meaty goodness that satisfies those who crave protein-packed toppings. For a burst of freshness, the pizza is adorned with vegetables, including sautéed mushrooms, green peppers, and onions, which provide a delightful contrast to the richness...
