Lovely little café! No step in, and fairly good spacing, so you could probably fit a wheelchair into at least the main seating area. There are tables inside & outside too. Lots of plants in the windows, and they look well cared for. The matcha latte was lovely, rich and not too sweet. The cinnamon twist was flaky and very cinnamon-y. I also had the pleasure of trying a new menu item (first one ever apparently) which was a farmer special wrap, and it was delicious! Cheesy, with eggs, crispy hashbrowns and bacon, and delicious sausage as well, I loved it :) Definitely a lovely little cafe! And a perfect place to stop in.

What an incredible experience! The owners are a welcoming, friendly couple who completely understood my dietary needs - one of the owners is celiac himself! We thoroughly enjoyed our egg salad and turkey crepewiches. And reasonable prices! I couldn't resist coming back later for a lemon and sugar crepe for dessert (not pictured because I ate it too fast!). We will absolutely be back - well worth the 2 hour drive from our town! (Covid review: in keeping with provincial regulations and more! Very quick to wipe down tables/chairs, hand sanitizer readily available, tables far apart, good signage, etc)

I was here once before a couple of years ago and it good. Wow, times have changed. This place is a waste if time and money! Grumpy owner, low grade food on paper plates with plastic knives and forks. I don't know how this place stays in business. The prices were ridiculous for the food you get. It's like a 5 year old made it. I'm not tough to please when it comes to food, but the whole experience was trash!

Beautiful little place tucked away in plain site. As you enter you are met with tables and chairs as well as a couch. For our anniversary my husband and I thought the patio would be nice. It was better than expected a pretty little gem hidden in the back of the cafe; nature surrounds with sounds of water. We were greeted by friendly owners who enjoy what they do and try their best to make your short time there as great as they can. They accommodate every need, including allergies; nothing is made ahead of time and made in different prep stations to make sure this need is really met. We found out later it is because he has bad allergies and knows how hard it is to find a good place that is really celiac aware. We do not have allergies however do have friends and family that do and definately will bring them here. I had a cup of coffee self serve and hubby had london fog and the best he's had in years. It's a little creperie I had chicken gordon blue and hubby had ham and cheese. Wow mine just melted in your mouth and the bechamel sauce was to die for. My greens salad came with (I will guess a homemade dressing which I meant to ask as I wanted to buy some ) tasty strawberry littly creamy dressing. Yum. Owner suggested you reserve if you want to go earlier I liked it not too busy at 2 pm. Will definately be back to...

A rude morning greeting, ruined the start of a beautiful morning. I entered the cafe before they officially opened, asking if it was ok to come in as the door was unlocked. Instead of politely saying no, he rudely said they were still closed. I stepped out and while reading their menu, he locked the door and yelled at his partner “read the F@$&!*G sign”. Yes, I was in the wrong for coming in too early, but he did not have to be so rude. Shortly after enjoying a coffee and breakfast at a genuinely friendly establishment, I passed by the courtyard to get back to my car. The Courtyard had a sign saying to be kind and they will not tolerate rude behaviour. I find the sign ironic given the owner’s rude behaviour toward me. I understand that this pandemic has been tough on everyone, and I have tried to do my part in staying positive and kind. I just could not brush this type of behaviour aside…while on vacation with my family. Luckily all other restaurants and activities we’ve experienced so far on Vancouver Island have been amazing. Just read some reviews on Courtyard and some have also experienced the rude behaviour of the older male owner. I hope his attitude changes toward future...

I came in to get an iced oat milk latte and peter said it will be a few moments because there is only 3 of them which is totally understandable so I said no worries. Stood there for a few minutes and the nice young lady working came over and took my order, Peter made a few drinks that were in front of mine. When he got to mine he started make a hot latte and I kindly corrected him, he tossed the espresso he was going to use and went to reach for the cold brew. He started to pour and I repeated it was an iced oat milk LATTE. He then huffed and puffed while yelling at me that this is how we make our lattes. I was kinda confused because cold brew and espresso are 2 totally different things then his lovely wife just told him to make it with espresso. Right after that happened 2 ladies that walked in told me to get my money and go somewhere else because they definitely were. I just don’t understand why you would advertise it as an iced latte while it is obviously cold brew coffee. I’m not a newbie, I’ve worked in a cafe for a...
