Went last night with family and had a decent service. Wife and kids requested to dine at the restaurant on second night.. kids excited about their meals from the previous night and we (Wife and I) thought of ordering our favourite bottle of wine.

However, the MANAGER refused service!! Saying their are NO tables, and the wait is at least an hour.. and he repeated the same a few times. Just because he did not want to have kids on the patio. Just because he assumed that we will not be ordering enough food/Drinks! Even After requesting multiple times, that kids insisting on dining at this establishment, he kept on going, faking how busy the restaurant is. But Letting other tables of 4 walk in and seated within 5 minutes. He said other tables are reserved, but hostess clarified they don’t take any reservations at all!

Well, we went to adjoining establishment.. your loss, their gain $250 bill.. 2 adults + 2 kids!

Really, understood you want to maximize revenue; but this is NOT how you deal and treat...

Extremely poor service by the waiter who totally ignored us. We were seated for 15 -20 minutes before we were even served water. We had to ask for it several times. Bread was brought and hurriedly placed with no plates and no napkins. We waited 15 minutes and had to ask for it several times. And, only 2 out of 3 plates were bought and kept hastily. Out of the 2, one was a chipped/cracked plate. We were brought the third plate after requesting it with another waiter after a wait of another 5 minutes. No refill of water was served, and our requested extra napkins were not brought to the table. Had to wait and ask for it several times. We had to wait closer to an hour for our main course to arrive. This waiter who waited on us totally ignored us which seemed be done deliberately. Total discrimination!! 1 star is for the food which tasted decent, but the portion size were quite small. There are several other restaurants on Grande Allée Est which are so much better....

I had to give this restaurant a 5/5 stars after they came to our rescue! We had originally made a birthday dinner reservation at a different restaurant who cancelled on us last minute. L'Atelier found us a table immediately on a busy Saturday night and our server, Amelie, truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. From the Google photos, we did expect the ambiance to be quieter -- we didn't know this place turns into a club on the weekends, haha! But it was fun and lively. The cocktails were 10/10 and the food was good. I really like the beef tartare and the churros. Again, this place had fantastic customer service, and provided special touches to make the birthday special (like a free round of drinks and an invitation to a Quebec bday tradition that had us laughing). This was a memorable experience. Give Amelie a raise! Thanks for saving the...

I went there with my girlfriend during Winter. Parking is not available after 9pm so we parked 5 mins walk away which was recommended by the friendly staffs. The vibe was quiet and cozy because we went there on a weekday after a major carnival. The food in general was awesome. We ordered the truffle mac and cheese, bison tartar and the steak. The mac and cheese looks small but you won’t be disappointed about it’s flavour. It was rich, super creamy and strong on the truffle. The bison tartar was mixed with onions, shallots, cheese which went super well with the meat. The steak was a bit overcooked and dry though. Overall, it was a great dinning experience and their tartar is definitely your go-to.

We had lunch there and really enjoyed the restaurant. We stayed outside and it was a lovely day. I had a beef tartare and my husband a cheeseburguer. As for the desert, the churros was a great surprise. Very soft and paired well with the chocolate and salted caramel sauces. I gave 4 stars for the food because my beef tartare was good but tasted average, nothing remarkable. The service was good and fast. They do have many tables outside and we were able to get one without waiting. They also do have many tables inside. Washroom was unisex and felt too dark for me, but it was clean. I’d definitely come back here another time.
