Went to try the new frozen root beer with fresh cream. I was hungry so order a buddy burger. As I received my burger they said my drink would be a minute. I then did something I never do I opened the burger wrap to see the burger. Thank goodness I did. The bun had mold on it. So I showed them and gave it back. I could see them get ready to call me a liar but when they saw it , all they said was “oh” and took it back. They handed me my now ready drink. I told them I did not want a replacement burger because I was grossed out and asked the burger to be refunded. This caused chaos! They could not figure out what to do and then asked me to look at my mobile app on my phone to see if they credited me back. What? I could not believe it. I looked and saw no credit. So they chaos continued . I asked for a receipt of the credit as my trust was at an all time low. Eventually I got the receipt and was pleased to see they reversed the entire order so I got the drink for free. But through the whole ordeal. I never got a “sorry “. No sorry for the moldy burger, no sorry for the delay. They just handed me the receipt and closed the window. I was polite and calm through the event. Breakfast was fine and fast.

The cashier was rude when I went to buss my own tray. I place it on another tray at the counter and turn to walk out of the store. I hear, "You can take that to the back." I turned my head, I see this lady staring me down. I say, "Sorry what was that?" She says, again, in a rude, aggressive, condescensing tone, "You can take your tray to the back." I pause and say, "Oh, okay." So I take it around the back. I shouldn't have but I guess my people skills are stronger than hers.

First off, I didn't know that bussing my own tray was a requirement of me eating here. Secondly, I haven't been inside an A&W for 10 years, how am I to know this? Thirdly, I thought bussing my tray to the counter was courteous.

She also didn't offer me the special which would have been less money for more food. And when I ordered an apple juice, she didn't ask me what size and she rings in the large. I don't need 20 oz of apple juice, I'm not 8 years old. But by her tone about the tray, I guess you must have thought I was.

I went in there tired, hungry and in a hurry trying to get my food and get out of there. I walked out of there in a bad mood for more money, so thanks a lot.
