Marhaba Restaurant — Restaurant in Regina

My fiancé placed an order online for delivery thru Marhaba cos they ofter their own delivery service and we like to support local businesses as much as we can. We ordered 2 onion salad on the side, Lamb Mandi and Chicken Shawarma rice.

We ordered onion 2 onion salad and we got onion slices with sprinkles of spices. Picture below. We paid $3.99 for two!

The shawarma rice, there were choices given to what to put on the salad. So we asked for tomatoes, lettuce, turnip, onions, cucumbers. We got the order and there were onions and some lettuce.

Lamb Mandi was such a boring piece. It was a dry and not very appetizing Shank of lamb on a bed of rice. I wish I took a picture. I taught it will taste better than it looks and also didn’t realize I will be writing a review.

The rice on both food was very good and flavourful though and the chicken on the shawarma rice has lots of flavor and decent.

I called the store to give a feedback and i hope they would take it seriously. But I spoke to a wall. The person I spoke to, just kept saying I wish I can do something about it. The person also said that oh it was a mistake online, it shouldn’t give you an option to put more veggies in your sharwarma plate, extra veggies are only offered for shawarma wraps. As a customer, who’s fault is it? If you cant deliver what your online order system offers then just shut it down or take the loss and put in the damn salad! OR CALL YOU CUSTOMERS AND LET THEM KNOW about your mistakes and provide options. We even gave a 15% tip. I was so mad how the person I was talking to over the phone was so useless and asked for the tip back (I shouldn’t, but I was mad at this point) and said “no, cant have it back”.

Their food used to be very good but not sure what changed. DO NOT GO TO PLACE. Not worth it anymore...

This is not the 1st time here. I came here several times to taste there mouth watering lamb shank khabsa. But something wrong happened. Now a days, they start to serve spoiled foods to customer. I just came home after having lunch from this restaurant, was there from 2.30pm to 3.20pm of Friday, Oct 1st, 2021, ordered Lamb khabsa, as side, i ordered karai chicken that was recommended by them. I ignored the lamb shank wasn’t that much tender like before but i couldn’t ignore when they served us with spoiled karai chicken which was old, warmed up several times and already started to smell bad. When i called the concerned person, he was explaining me that he just cooked it and he used lemon thats why it taste sour and smelly. I am not a cooking specialist or cheff but i am an eating specialist and had the good taste of most of yummy foods in the town, spicy non spicy, junk everything. I am concerning my health as well my father who was with me at that time. I didnt wanted to argue with them as too much discussion abt spoiled food infront of my father can make him sick further. I am not that aggressive person, otherwise, i would complain to health dept and report a file against them. Also need to be conerned about their hygiene of their kitchen as well the washrooms, some authorities serious need to visit there...
