I wish I could rate this place higher. Seems like it could be a legitimate high-class joint, but it's seriously held back by many things.
Now, I went there on a relatively empty night in the lounge, so I haven't experienced their full menu, but I've got a rather firm grasp on what I have had. They do have a separate Lounge menu, so take this with a grain of salt. I will begin simply with saying the service that night was godawful. We stood at the front doorway for a good five or so minutes with nobody in front of us, and we wouldn't have been attended even longer if my party hadn't gone and requested someone seat us. We chose to sit in the lounge, and made the mistake of sitting at one of the raised tables. Their chairs are unbelievably uncomfortable, and my party and myself spent the entire time hunched over just so it'd be slightly more comfortable. On that note, do NOT eat in their lounge unless you have one party who doesn't care for their spine and one who can sit at the booth.
Their service was "just alright" after we were finally seated. After a few miserable minutes in their seats (I have a very bad back, so this was a very big issue for me) I realized that nothing on the menu appealed to me or my budget, so I went with a very safe pick with their bison burger. It took an expected amount of time, so that's fine, but the fries that I got with it were overcooked and over-salted. The burger was completely and totally "ordinary". I could go out to the Waterfront Beach Bar and Grill out at Regina Beach to get a completely equal bison burger. It was very buttery, as to be expected, and it was completely and totally normal. Nothing stand-out or out-of-the-ordinary. My party greatly enjoyed her "grilled salad" that she'd gotten, and it makes me wonder what the quality of their menu is actually like. Suffice to say, I will be attending again to see if their menu for dining is any better than the hellhole that is their lounge and lounge menu.
We'd ordered Creme Brulee for dessert, my party and I, and the first few bites were delicious. However, we soon realized it was closer to custard than Creme Brulee, and the burnt candy surface had a very disgusting aftertaste.
All I can come away from this saying is "The bar food is exactly what you'd expect from a bar, and is not befitting an establishment that looks as high quality as this one. Skip...

This restaurant is located inside a 100 year old home with amazing wood detail in most of the rooms. They have a ramp to enter into the building and THANK YOU for offering a GREAT selection of high and lower tables, for someone in a wheelchair to sit at. It is hard to find that nowadays at your cookie cutter, big box franchises.
The staff are amazing! So friendly and very good at assisting you with the menu as it all looks so good it was hard to decide. The portions you receive here are large and more than worth the price you pay. And you are getting real food prepared fresh. There is a reason this place is packed!!
The atmosphere is enjoyable and the people around you ( i am from out of town ) are also friendly and will include you in conversation if you are willing.
The food was go good my friend and I went there two night in a row for supper.
It is in a great central location and easy to get to.
Great drink selection as well.
Great selection of starters and mains. Pasta, Chicken, Lamb, Steak and fish.
First night we had the appie special which was the deep fried brie cheese with bread and crackers and a side of peppered jelly. I am going to try to copy this recipe, it was amazing. I eat brie weekly and enjoyed it thoroughly! They used the entire wheel on the plate, not half or a few bits. Two of us could not finish it. And their bread was so good. We wanted an order of just the bread!
The second night we needed sustenance: I ordered the Athenian Chicken with feta cheese and lemon butter and my friend had the Black and Blue chicken. Hands down the best chicken dishes I have ever had. Their risotto side is to die for. Perfectly done and a huge portion. The side veg on the plate was a great portions and cooked perfectly...
Read moreHave been to this restaurant a couple of times, which I do before any review. I love the atmosphere of this place, though feels a little cramped up front and due to that if you have a loud group in the room, it can be a little loud. The service was great, welcoming and friendly. Food, this is the sad part, for the cost I expect a certain standard, nothing outrageous but unfortunately each meal I had when there it was mediocre at best. The bruschetta, so melted cheese over tomatoes on soggy bread, which I had one or two bites out of and left, the wild mushroom fettuccine was better, but for $28 (I am happy to pay good money for good food) was nothing special perhaps a little greasy. The blue cheese pizza was nice (can't see it on the menu anymore) but when I had it was flavourful, though not hot when it reached the table. This is just what I experienced and it could have a been a bad day the couple of times I attended. But it doesn't make me want to return. Please note after my meals, the waitresses had asked about why I had left food and I did explain, they were apologetic and offered alternatives which is why I have given the service 4 stars. I have marked 3 stars, 2 stars for food, 4 stars for atmosphere...
