Denny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Revelstoke

The food tasted good it was hot and fresh... The reasons for a low score are ....... Ok, we were seated at a table for six,There were 2 of us, and this alone isn't such a bad thing. It was really cold at the table so we asked to move to a different table, she said no problem, she promptly cleaned the table, and we sat down. So it took the server 10 to 15 minutes to ask us what we wanted (she was the only server). There were four tables plus us and another table just sitting down. So we ordered right away, and the food came in good time. My wife's moons over my hammy was pretty good and loaded with fries. My santa-fe skillet was about a 2/3 of a skillet. It was also hot and fresh, but a bit small. So all in all the food was pretty good but a bit cheap on mine... So....here is my problem with my visit. After we got our food, we noticed we didn't have any cutlery. No big deal asked the server, and I said, "Can we get some cutlery, we don't have any" so she went and got us some cutlery, and instead of just putting some cutlery on the table(I wasn't looking for a sorry or .... anything) up to this point it it was a no big deal visit, the wait was long but whatever no biggie....anyhow she said "there wasn't any cause you left it on the other table" and then lost her charm......she got her 10% and we left...

So yes, I'd go back again as I pass through, but I'd like to say this don't blame customers for stuff you didn't do. There wasn't a problem and you made one. The restaurant seemed really understaffed. The cook came out, and what appeared to be was cash out a customer. I'm not sure.

I like to give out five stars for places I go. I'll go back in the spring and eat again, I'm sure it...

We were in Revelstoke for 3 days and randomly picked Dennys the first night for dinner, we ended up coming back all 3 nights.

The service from everyone was fantastic 👏 Every night we had a different server and never had any issues with anyone. Happy, friendly, fast.

The food was better than expected. Night one I had a steak with veggies and corn, steak was tender and delicious. My husband had the chicken plate licken meal, the meat was thick and juicy!

Night two I did a soup and salad and he did the bacon ranch chicken sandwich. For the soup they only had one as it's not very busy so they made a potato bacon soup and it was full of nice crispy bacon. So good!

Night three, husband went back to the chicken plate licken meal as he really enjoyed it night one. I went with the Mama Ds pot roast and WOW, the meat was melt in your mouth, the flavors were mouth watering and it just hit the spot so perfectly. Plus the bonus bread is great!

We also got mozzarella sticks and they were cooked perfectly. Sometimes if the oil is old or not hot enough it can ruin them but not today! Tasted fresh, held together great, and every stick was melted cheese. Nothing better.

Have to give it to the kitchen, they know what they are doing!

Worst experience I have ever had at a Denny’s. We arrived late afternoon (around 4:30 PM) after a long day driving (not unusual - lots of people stop over in Revelstoke). Two things were striking when we arrived - the smell of rotten eggs (suggesting possibly they were having problems starting their grill?), and the droning noise of the dining area being vacuumed. The latter lasted a good half hour, and was irritating the other guests in the restaurant as well.

I ordered one of the sizzling platter meals, my partner ordered a turkey club sandwich. My meal was okay (about what I expected - not outstanding, but good enough that I ate most of it), the club sandwich was a disaster - poorly made, only the slightest bit of mayo on it, minimal bacon (it looked like leftovers from the previous day to me). As sandwiches go, it was a failed attempt at not doing the job, my partner found it virtually inedible.

On top of that service was painfully slow. Our server didn’t even make it around to check in as to how our meal was, or to refill our drinks. I’ve experienced disasters before at restaurants, but this is one of the worst experiences...
