Saw this new restaurant with high google rating so wanted to give it a try. The soup was not bad, the 2 meat dishes were ok too. They claimed that the fish was fresh but we were not 100% sure based on the texture. The portion was small given the price-I did not have much fish at all(we were a table of 4). Everything was within tolerance but the real problem was! We had really bad diarrhea afterwards and I am writing this review in the bathroom in pain. If you check on xiaohongshu you will see so many people had diarrhea and food poisoning after dining there. I would definitely avoid if I had read those comments. We got the house sour soup, traditional beef and lamb skewers, sour and sweet ribs which I would recommend, the house sour soup which my kids, 2.5-years and 5-years, and my husband all loved too, the Yangzhou fried rice which was good also. We moved from Guizhou, China to Canada in 2003. 21 years later, we finally have a restaurant in GTA offering Guizhou style hotpot -Sour Soup Fish hotpot which is made of a specially preserved tomato sauce - a typical Miao style food.
