We recently visited Eva Turkish Restaurant in Richmond Hill and had mixed feelings about the overall experience. On the positive side, the quality of the food was good and the taste was authentic. If you're looking to enjoy flavorful Turkish cuisine, this place does deliver on that front. However, the service left much to be desired. While the staff member who served us was polite, there was a noticeable lack of warmth and hospitality that you’d typically expect in an Eastern or Turkish dining experience. There was little assistance with seating or any real effort to make us feel welcomed upon arrival. When it came time for dessert, we were disappointed to find that several items, including the popular Kanafeh and even tea, were not available. It was surprising, especially since the restaurant was not busy at the time. Additionally, the washroom was not clean, which gave the impression that attention to detail in overall maintenance might be lacking. The atmosphere of the restaurant also felt a bit cold and not as inviting or cozy as one would expect from a place representing rich Eastern culture. While the food itself was enjoyable, the overall dining experience did not live up to expectations, especially given that there are other Turkish restaurants nearby that offer a more complete and welcoming environment. In short, good food (especially Ali Nazik and Beyti) but not a memorable or warm dining experience. I’d suggest exploring other options...
Read moreWe have been visiting this Turkish restaurant for the past seven years, and it has consistently offered authentic Turkish cuisine. The food has always been classic and delicious. However, after our experience today, we have decided that this will be our last visit.
The service during our visit was lacking; there was only one server who struggled to manage all the tables effectively, causing our food to arrive very late. Additionally, for those familiar with Turkish dining, it's common to receive a complimentary salad before the main dish. Unfortunately , we were served an unfresh garden salad with an unappetizing dressing that we did not enjoy.
We ordered three chicken döner wraps, but they all arrived at different times. Moreover, the taste of the İskender plate was not what we remembered. It seems there has been a change in management, and the atmosphere is no longer as welcoming as it once was. We wish them the best of luck and hope they can restore the quality of both the food and the...
