We have been to 3 Coins Open Kitchen & Breakfast and Lunch in Richmond Hill several times, and it’s always an amazing experience! This cozy little spot has become one of our go-to places for breakfast and lunch, and it never disappoints.

The food here is consistently fantastic. Everything tastes homemade and fresh, with that comforting, old-style diner vibe. Whether it’s their fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, or golden hash browns, every dish is cooked perfectly. Their pancakes are a standout, light, airy, and just the right touch of sweetness. The portions are generous, and you leave feeling satisfied without feeling overly stuffed.

What makes this place even more special is the outstanding customer service. The staff are always so warm and welcoming, treating you like family from the moment you walk in. They’re attentive without being overbearing, making sure you have everything you need for a pleasant meal. It’s clear they care about their customers, and it really adds to the overall experience.

The atmosphere is another reason we keep coming back. It’s got that nostalgic, old-style diner charm that’s hard to find these days. The open kitchen, retro decor, and laid-back vibe make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a hearty meal. It feels like a step back in time in the best way possible.

If you’re looking for a place with great food, exceptional service, and a classic diner feel, 3 Coins is an absolute must-visit. We’ve been here several times and will continue to come back for more! Highly recommended for anyone in Richmond Hill or just passing through, this gem...

Stepping into Three Coins Restaurant in Richmond Hill feels like taking a trip back in time. As the oldest restaurant in the area, it has preserved its vintage charm, complete with old radios and an impressive collection of iconic pictures that adorn the walls, featuring legends like Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The menu offers a variety of breakfast options to satisfy different palates. While the food is good, it falls slightly short of matching the remarkable atmosphere. The dishes are well-prepared and flavorful, but they could use some extra finesse to truly elevate the dining experience. That being said, the nostalgic ambiance of Three Coins Restaurant compensates for any minor shortcomings in the culinary department. Every corner tells a story, and it's a joy to immerse oneself in the vintage decor and absorb the rich history surrounding this establishment. The staff members are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. They make an effort to provide a pleasant dining experience and ensure that guests feel at home. If you're looking for more than just a meal, and are seeking a nostalgic journey through time, Three Coins Restaurant is a must-visit. While the food may not be exceptional, the unique ambiance and rich history make it a memorable...

3 Coins is a typical diner with only breakfast and a lunch menu. The food is quite good and cheap for brunch (compared to other chain brunch places). The portions were decent for the price (I couldn't finish my home fries and the pancakes). The reviews are mostly about their bennies (and I love bennies) so of course I got that. Also tried the Big Breakfast which includes bacon, sausage, ham, three eggs, home fries, pancake, and toast (big breakfast indeed).

  1. Peameal Egg Benedict

The poached eggs were cooked in a mould so it had that perfect round shape. I asked for medium poached and it came just as I ordered it (which was great). The hollandaise was surprisingly not that bad and I did enjoy it. The home fries were regular but home fries are always good.

  1. Big Breakfast

It's standard; the bacon and fries were great, the others, not so much. The eggs were cooked over easy. The pancake was okay, just regular pancake (not that fluffy though).

Overall, I think the food at the diner was good and cheap. Service was okay, the food took a bit to come but I get it, they were quite busy (it's pretty small and I think there was only one server). I would want to try their sandwiches next time (I think I saw roast beef was a...
