Hana's Tea — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

I've passed by this spot many times but haven't tried it till recently.

I ordered via UberEats thanks to a BOGO deal, so I cannot attest to the physical location since it was a delivered order.

Being my first visit, I felt the need to try a favorite classic drink, so one of the beverages we ordered was the GRASS JELLY OOLONG TEA (less ice, 30% sugar). This sweetness level was perfect for me. Their tea flavor comes through nicely, with a good amount of milk for consistency. Unlike other places, their grass jelly is neatly cut into cubes - these had a good chew and texture to them.

For something more fun, we also upgraded our other beverages by $1.50/each to get them in teddy bear bottles.

STRAWBERRY YAKULT (less ice, 50% sugar) I really enjoyed this drink! It's fragrant in the best way. The strawberry flavor is prominent while the yakult sweetened it just right. The yakult flavor itself wasn't strong though, but I didn't mind since the overall flavor profile was delicious. This beverage also comes with popping boba which were fun to eat and not nearly as sweet as some of the other brands I've had. I would definitely order this again.

FRUITY ADE SPA IN LYCHEE FLAVOR (with 70% sugar) Even at 70% sugar, this drink isn't very sweet. The lychee flavor is present but not strong, though I'm curious if this would have changed if we got it at full sugar. This is great for those who like sparkling waters with a slight dose of fruity flavor! Quite refreshing for a hot summer's day.

Literally, the, best, bubble, tea, shop, ever! I came across this place yesterday, and decided to give it a try over the usual Chai Time and Gong Cha, and this place is 1000x better! They have such a diverse variety of drinks, alongside with snack/food items that you will not find in your usual boba tea shop, especially in all of York Region. They also have the classics, so it’s perfect if you’re going with friends that like to have different choices. I got the Fresh Milk Dragonfruit yesterday, and today I got the Mango Pomelo Sago, both are literal 10/10 drinks. The presentation for both drinks is amazing, the taste is delicious and fresh, and their customer service is unmatched. You can tell two people working there put a lot of effort in these creations, and I’m so glad I just found them, because this is now my go to spot even if I’m elsewhere, I’ll drive to Richmond Hill to get their bubble tea....

This is easily the best bubble tea store. The drinks delicious and beautifully presented, and the prices are also incredibly reasonable. The people calling this place "expensive" have never had bubble tea anywhere else. Most large drinks here are under $8, which is extremely cheap compared to places like Chatime or Real Fruit where it's easily $10 or more.

They even offer a student discount, which is super generous considering their already cheap drinks. The attention to detail is amazing, they fill the cups to the brim, add extra into the dome lid, and sometimes even decorate the drinks with fruit. They also offer complimentary candy.

Sure, service can be a bit slower during busy times, but it's clear that’s because they’re putting real effort into each order. Personally, I think it's absolutely worth the wait for the quality and care they put into their drinks....
