Harvey's — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

Hello! This is Riot speaking.

I apologize for the late response to the review. A few months ago I have visited Harvey's around late afternoon, and I wrote a one-page review. However, I just noticed I have written it to a different Harvey's.

It was a bad day for my lifeguarding shift, working from 7 am to 9 pm, and that day I haven't had any breakfast so I was starving, which is why I ended up going to Harvey's after my shift ended.

When I entered the building the employees welcomed me happily and kindly, I was surprised, they work hard all day and night, yet they are very positive and happy. So right away I ordered a huge amount of food, the cashier listened carefully to the order once, loud and clear she spoke back the order to me to confirm if it was correct. In my life, that was the fastest order I have done in any fast food restaurant I've been in, where I had to repeat the order several times, or usually the cashier would mess the order it up. When the food was prepared, I did not even have to wait for 5 minutes, the whole food was ready in under 1 minute and 30 seconds, they did not even rush, there were 3 people who ordered the food too and they made the food very quickly at once. I have never seen such concentration and quick response, but what stood out was their kindness and positive energy.

This made my day, I was happy, my food was perfect, my stomach was satisfied, and I have gained back my energy. I know this is been a few months, and it could be different employees now, but I would go back again someday to see their smiles once more, and for the food too of...

Came in here yesterday in the evening April 7,,2024 to buy food and the two young ladies there I realize that in RIchmondhil being an overall white area these people treat black people with less respect than they do others.

I was not rude to them as I made my order it was like they did not want to serve me,

I went back for napkins and the girls stood there talking about stuff and covering their faces and took their own sweet time before one of them decided they wanted to see what I came to ask for.

Bad customer service and alot of you guys need to go back and take customer service classes in shows their true character. If i had rushed them or said something improper I would have been painted as the angry black woman.

I never thought I would ever experience racism but ever since I passed through richmondhill it shows how under developed you peoples minds are and how disgusting human beings you are.

Never thought I would see the day I'd say McDonald's would be better than Harvey's, but here it is. Ordered at the drive through. Wouldn't serve me coffee because close to closing time. Not only did they get our order wrong, they got it so wrong, my wife could not eat the food given. We had already driven away because we were in a rush to get somewhere, and they closed after we drove through. My wife bit into ghost pepper sauce after specifically clarifying NO hot sauce, because of heart burn and digestive issues, for which she has a prescription. This visit has left a horrible taste in our mouths both figuratively and literally, but in my wife's case, she was in pain and could not get a good night sleep.

Harvey's has fallen far apparently. I for one will never return. I could not have been clearer at the time of order, and even the receipt showed the correct order, but not at all what we received.

So a pot of coffee, and complete lack of work ethic, has cost this organization a life long customer.

I remember when Harvey's made a hamburger, a beautiful thing. Now I'm glad we have socialized medicine.
