Me and my friend dropped by here as we were close in the area and have been here several times over the passed 3 yrs when the quality of food was better...Since it was 2:50pm and I didn't want to cook lunch for my teen the following day, I inquired about the lunch special and was told by a spanish young teen server at the hot table which barely had nothing that the leftover chicken parmagiana was $7.99 for a small serving. She said it came with 2 sides howevr they only had broccoli as a side and peppers + onions as another so I told her to double up which she did and since the price was reasonable, we got another of the same along with some pastries...When we proceeded to CASH OUT, this old Fat arrogant OWNER/COOK charged us $16.99 each and my friend questioned it stating your staff said $7.99 and he got very DEFENSIVE with a belligerent voice yelling, "Come on now, are you crazy, how can chicken parmagiana be $7.99. I heard his screaming voice all the way from the bread area and so I walked to him and told him the same, the young latina girl said it was $7.99 and he was very arrogant with such an undermining and GHETTO VOICE like we lived in the mountains telling me that my friend was yelling when it was in fact him! His demeanor caused me to also raise my voice and tell him how unprofessional and defensive he was! So we told him we would just take the cookies which by the way were almost burnt however we couldn't tell from the showcase based on the chocolate drizzle on top. Anyhow, its really ashame and disgusting how arrogant, cockly, and unprofessional he was.... especially how should we know prices when we were told after confirming with me once and with my firned twice that since its end of the day it is $7.99. This owner kept going on and on and on and I should've just cancelled the whole transaction had i known that cookies were burnt. He kept arguing with NO ONE buy himself and even said "PEOPLE JUST WANT TO HEAR WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR" as if we were mentally challenged when its obvious that he shouldn't be in business as he doesn't know the value of having repeat customers and the power of "word of mouth"...which I will make sure PEOPLE KNOW NOT TO BOTHER GOING IN AS NOTHING IS FRESH AND THE OWNER/ COOK/ CASHIER IS EXTREMELY RUDE, ARROGANT, NASTY, ...
Read moreI feel bad leaving reviews but this was just a 0/10 experience overall. Last week we called to see when they closed, inquired about the food they had, was told they had a full service hot table with pastas, meats, etc. Show up less than 20 minutes later to them having only one type of pasta which had been sitting for a while - you know the type when you can see the sauce all dry and crusty? Yeah… and if you wanted a bit of extra sauce on top tho, that cost extra (the regular sauce tho, the meat sauce was free which seemed bizarre). Ordered rice balls which didn’t come with any sauce which I thought was weird, any other time I’ve had arancini, it’s come with sauce on the side, I digress - had to pay an extra $3 for the sauce. Now this is the kicker, an Italian bakery that occasionally serves Caesar salad? I genuinely thought she was joking until the girl literally said “oh yeah no we don’t have that, very occasionally we do Caesar salad”. Wanting extra peppers, onions or mushrooms for the sandwich we got was disappointing as they didn’t have any left. The food was bland, the attendants were kids who didn’t really seem to care, I’m upset I made the trip to try a place that was in fact not a full functioning hot table with all sorts of options available. Had they told us over the phone that it is end of day and they have run out of most things I’d understand but being encouraged to come due to this great hot table they had was disappointing and misleading. Don’t waste...
Read moreif i could give this place 0 starts-i would. i got the meatballs to take home. about 10 of them. which weren’t cheap- that’s not the problem though. the problem is that they didn’t taste like the regular meatballs you’d find in a italian deli. the taste was very off- the meatballs lacked so much of the actual meat and had too much bread crumbs. 80% bread crumbs and 20% meat. my whole family wouldn’t eat them. so basically i bought bread crumb balls not meat balls. the cook is most definitely not italian and probably does not follow the same recipe as they used to. but that’s also not the entire problem. my problem is when i went back to speak to the owner about the taste of the meatballs, the owner spoke to me like i am absolute garbage. i just asked him to listen to my concern since i am a pretty regular customer but in tern i got treated like i don’t know what i’m talking about. he said to me that i must be eating garbage so i wouldn’t know what good food tastes like. what kind of person talks to another person this way? he said this is nonsense and told me to leave. i come pretty often to this place as i live very close by. never again will i ever go there. and it’s not gonna make a difference for them if i go there or not but at least i now know what kind of people they are. people who are in the restaurant service industry and are unwilling to listen to customers concerns is ridiculous. he should get off his high horse and treat people with...
