Liuyishou hotpot was an okay experience. We went with the three soup bases, spicy, chicken, and pork bone. The pork bone and chicken tasted similar so I would not recommend getting those together if you want to try others. Unfortunately the broth soup base was not as flavourful as other places. It required salt to slightly make the taste better. I do commend the abundant choices for sauces and I would recommend to use those to help make the meat flavourful as the meat by itself does not have any flavour. They all taste the same from the marinated beef to the chicken. To the comment about "loving Korean BBQ then you'll like this", it's completely different unfortunately. KBBQ or even Japanese BBQ is grilling which allows for different flavours of marinated differently. Here, since you're dumping all your meat into the soup to cook it all comes out wet and the same flavour. Overtime the taste will change as different types of meat keep simmering and depending on how you like your meat you'll either enjoy it or not. These are two different types of food so if you like your food dry or saucy then do a BBQ, If you like your meat wet then do hotpot.

Service was decent. Friendly staff, courteous and explained things well. The problem we had was the lobby was so small and it was packed often so customers tricked into the dining area. We were unfortunately seated at the booth near the lobby and it being winter the gusr of cold kept coming in and had customers standing beside our table which degraded our dining experience. However, for those waiting, they did get served hot tea which is a kind gesture. A succession for the restaurant is to perhaps enforce the check-in system they have in place (online waitlist found on the tablet at the front) as this will limit customers from standing beside the tables.

Pricing at the time (January 2023) was 33.95 a person plus our soul base of 20 dollars.

Overall I would recommend to try it if you have never had hotpot and enjoy cooking your meat in broth. If you think this will be like KBBQ or a JBBQ it is...

I like this place, food is delicious with excellent services, KK and Iris gave me a very good experience, especially KK, very efficient and gave me many helpful introductions, including promotion info which I didn't notified during my last visit. I arrived around 6PM, but due to recent repair work at parking lot, it took me around 15 minutes to find a spot outside, and due to it was dinner time, so I waited around 20 minutes to be seated. I was so hungry since I ate nothing for whole day before I went there, KK noticed that I was impatient and not in the good mood, he managed to serve me ASAP and recommend me their soy milk since I ordered spicy soup. I only ordered several orders that I like most, and finished them without any waste within a hour, KK also gave me a free beef tripe which usually is only offered to big table which didn't waste any food. I can feel they really hope you can eat as much as you can since Iris also asked me several times "do you need anything else?", and they maybe feel that I ordered too less and finished too quickly, KK asked Iris to give me a free desert as well. I am very impressed for their hospitality. KK gave me many advices and promotion info,eg I can park to the underground parking place behind the store if I cannot find parking outside next time, he also mentioned they have promotions that if I come in the weekend or holidays and I finished very quickly, I will billed with discounts as a reward since I always finished my meal very quickly. I visited this place every months, although before their services are always in time, but they didn't always notify me updated promotions, so I appreciate KK's introduction and reminder for all these available promotion activities. I will definitely come...

I recently visited the Highway Seven location of Liuyishou Hotpot. I would like to talk about my experience here. During my meal, I was impressed by multiple aspects of the restaurant, including their environment, food quality, customer service, and price.

The environment was clean, modern, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The interior design was extremely well designed. The design made me want to stay and relax longer, but unfortunately I had other things to do.

Another aspect was the food quality. The food quality was excellent. For an All You Can Eat restaurant, you would expect mediocre food, at best. However, The broth options were flavorful, especially the signature spicy soup base, which had just the right balance of heat and aroma. The meat was also surprisingly fresh and tender with excellent flavor.

The customer service was also outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate our needs. Our table was assigned a lovely waitress named Iris. She often checked up on us and even threw in a few freebies. She was extremely welcoming and nice.

Lastly, the pricing was amazing for the quality and portion sizes provided. You would expect a huge price for such an amazing restaurant, but no, the price was actually quite cheap and affordable.

Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Liuyishou Hotpot and would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for authentic and high-quality hotpot in the area. I will definitely...

This is a very popular spot for AYCE hot pot, so be prepared to wait at least 1-1.5 hr on the weekend/1 hr on weekdays. You can’t call in to place a spot as you have to come in person to place your spot in the tablet. Reservations are only allowed to be made ahead of time for larger groups, and I would suggest to double check you have the right location as they have locations in Richmond BC as well. Although the wait times are generally long, this Liuyishou offers a few deals for waiting a certain amount of time. Their menu offers a good selection of meat, seafood, vegetables, snacks and much more. The only thing they don’t have much of are desserts unless you pay for the premium options. I got the White Pepper Chicken broth which was quite tasty, and I honestly couldn’t help but drink bowls of it 😆 For sauces, there is a table in the middle of the restaurant, and as well as fruits and the fried buns/seasame balls too. To order, you’d have to get a server, but it’s usually not an issue as they’re constantly coming around. Seating is 2 hrs, but you only have 1.5 hrs to order. Food generally came quite quickly, and staff are always around to clean your table. My only complaint would be that we waited over 15 mins for our popsicles, and when we finally got it, we had to pack up and leave as our seating time was over. I didn’t like how they kicked us out when we waited so long for them, and we had to take our popsicles with us to eat. IG: Ayeween
