High quality sushi at really cheap prices for party platters. Located inside the somewhat desolate maze of a mall, the cheap rent probably helps a lot. The platters are cash only, but otherwise they accept credit cards.
Edit 2020-09-27: Did a side-by-side comparison of the 100pc Sashimi-Sushi-Roll platter from Hug Sushi and nearby YuSushi with some hungry friends. The price of this platter was $70.05 at YuSushi which was more expensive than $64.05 after tax and 10% cash discount at nearby Hug Sushi Take-Out.
The YuSushi platter is condensed into one platter, resulting in presentation that was inferior to Hug Sushi which used two smaller platters for sashimi and rolls. We thought that the quality of the sashimi/sushi to be better at YuSushi, but in isolation, we think that the Hug Sushi sashimi/sushi were still quite good. The sashimi in the picture looks smaller from YuSushi, but it's actually because of the way they are stacked - they are actually quite large since the platter has a lot of depth. The rolls from Hug Sushi were better formed and the YuSushi rolls were smaller and more squished on the platter. We were disappointed that one of the rolls was an avocado/cucumber roll.
Overall, enjoyed the sushi here and would...
Read moreI always say location has EVERYTHING to do with how often we go. Yusushi is located beside Sheraton hotel on Highway 7 and Leslie.
The younger lady working there is friendly and pretty much remembers you after two or three visits. Their chefs work quietly behind their sushi counter once they hear what you've ordered.
Since it is located in a food court, seats are on a first come first serve basis.
From what I remember, nothing on their menu is over $30 (including their Deluxe Chirashi Don).
I don't suggest their maki or party trays - there's something lacking in it. I'm not sure what it is, but not something I recommend.
My favorite thing to order here is their Hokkaido Don - prawn, ikura, uni, salmon, scallop, and a bit of caviar. Their rice may not be the best, but their sashimi that comes with it, definitely on point!
Their Deluxe chirashi don contains prawn, salmon, hamachi, uni, scallop, caviar, tuna, and toro. In terms of variety, the Deluxe one would be the one to get, but if you're anything like me, I'll pick the Hokkaido one - just because those are my...

This place is primarily a takeout restaurant so there is no dining room, it is located within the "food court" area of the Shoppes of the Parkway mall - but you can utilize the public seating to eat if you wish.
They are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate requests or preferences. I have been here a multitude of times and have driven in from out of town (where I live now) as nothing in my local area quite compares.
The fish is extremely fresh and high quality - the salmon specifically melts in your mouth. The cuts of sashimi are thick and substantial compared to most sushi places. The rolls are medium to large size (diameter) but there is more filling than rice compared to other places I have been to.
The prices are also incredible - I would be happy paying much more for the quality I'm getting but am always pleasantly surprised at the regular prices (they also have daily deals and specials too).
If you are looking for sushi takeout this is the best place to go in...
