Revised - I give this place a 10 star. I'm not a regular nor do I know them, but they stayed late for me today when I really needed the comfort food as I was having a really rough day. Not only did they stay late but they also tried to comfort me when they were not obligated to. These ppl really care for their customers and they genuinely offer the best food and best service. I will keep spreading my good words to everyone I know!!!
I just want to say thank you and appreciate your time and effort to make your customers feel sooo well taken care of. This is a hidden gem and I'm going spread it all to my friends and family to support them. The two owners are so genuine and kind and friendly and really has top notch service. Food is super needless to say but it's the people that keeps me wanting to come back. Even tho is out of the way and there are so many other places much closer to me, I still rather go out of my way to come here for them just to show support for this wonderful local hidden gem business. It shows that they really really care about their customers and they put in a lot of effort within their food as well as service. Really super excellent Korean Fried Chicken and chi-bokki set. I wish I can give them like 10 stars if I could. The lady and and gentleman are both so smiley and friendly every time I go there. It makes you want to go back to show that you support them. Even the take out sets are so detailed and so neatly packed together. It's these little things that shows they care. They also go through explaining the menu to you and show you the best way to mix the sauces and the foods to maximize the great taste. Be ware!! This place is addictive!!! I definitely will be back and already spreading this place that I discovered!! Keep up the excellent work, hope you succeed well with your business!!!...
Read moreThe food was overpriced for what I got and did not look like the photos I saw in reviews. I got the family set but I asked for the spicy CupBokki to be changed to the Rose because it is less spicy and I asked for soy garlic and cheese snow chicken. The things that I liked about the set was the chicken, the cheese snow was nothing special but the chicken was still tender and the soy garlic was not too sweet and I liked the crispy shallots on top. Now to the reason I gave 2/5 stars. The person that took our order originally said that it would take 15 mins to be ready but ended up waiting 30 mins. I asked for 2 eskas, 1 iced tea and 1 sprite but got 2 Crushes instead of eskas. The CupBokki was supposed to be rose and we paid a little extra for it but ended up getting the spicy CupBokki which was okay but most of my family couldn't eat it because it was too spicy hence the requested flavour change; but the CupBokki had the "essence" Of broccoli which I didn't really like also only filled the container half way even though it's a large. The set comes with 4 sides which we only got 3 and 2 of which were the same (pickled jalapenos). Lastly the CupBap was supposed to be large but only filled half of the container and it was not the large round container like in the photos it was a small/med tin container. It was kind of pathetic it was just corn, seaweed and some crispy shallots with mayo; no pickled radish even though that's what the menu said. I was not able to get these issues corrected because I ordered take out and went straight home. Total of approx. $68 was...
Read moreWent recently to Parkway food court and saw the recently reopened Ban Ban Korean. Had the Ttoek Bokki $9.00 tax included. Rice cake, sausage, vegetables in a spicy/sweet/tangy sauce. This combined with the sliced sausage saltiness, the chewy tenderness of the rice cakes and vegetables was a delight. Was wishing for a bit of bread to soak up the sauce. Staff is friendly and helpful. Really great taste quality , fair size portion, and great price. I will be returning and Highly recommend. Went back again for the Ttoek Bokki and also tried the 3 piece chicken with 2 pieces spicy and 2 pieces Louisianna style ( got an extra piece and a free pop). Enjoyed these immensely, especially the Louisianna style. Total price was $18.00. Alot of food as seen in the pic. Some corn and pickled vegetable as sides as well. The staff advised me that they are tweaking the menu. They are doing some fine culinary work. Give them a try. Went back and had the boneless chicken sandwich with fries. Fried chicken that was crunchy and flavourful on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauce on the bun with pickles was perfection. The fries had a sprinkled seasoning that had me wanting more. Another occasion had the original Cup Bap with Tuna, the owner also gave me a couple of homemade goodies wrapped in seaweed ( sorry forgot the name, but delicious). Everything...
