Edited 01/25/2018: I don't usually believe in having 1 star reviews, but this one is probably the worst branch I've been to, for late night orders. I've had nothing but negative experiences here from the evening and night staff. They have awful manners and serve to uphold nothing but all the negative stereotypes of working in fast food.
The first time I ordered via drive thru at night here, the cashier spent over 10 minutes trading laughter with the people in the car in front of me. Just because it's in the middle of the night with two cars in the drive thru doesn't mean other people don't have better things to do than hear you gossiping with your friends.
The subsequent times I came here to order food at night, up to and including today, I was stopping by on my commute home. Every single time, the dining area was closed for "maintenance". This has been a thing for over two months now. Someone's not doing their job here- there's no reason why a maintenance job that is obviously not intrusive enough to shut the site down entirely takes over 2 months. I've never actually seen maintenance work here either. Why advertise a 24 hour store if you can't actually walk in to order anything?
Tonight, I made sure to call before I arrived to inquire about their hours. The phone rang for half a minute before they picked up... then after not saying anything for another minute they just hung up on me. I stopped by hoping they'd be open, but nope- same maintenance excuse. I walked into the drive thru to try to order something... and all they did was laugh and walk away.
Jesus Christ, if they can't be bothered to hire competent night staff, perform "maintenance" in a timespan that isn't measured in months (sounds rather like a poor excuse to not hire night staff), or serve a guy trying to get food after work in -15C weather, I don't see why they deserve any business at all. Seems like management wants all the benefits of a 24h store with half the commitments.
I'm tempted to call head office and see exactly what they've been performing maintenance during the night shift on for two...
Read moreThis review is for the manager. I think their name is Christine? I visited them tonight on May 8, around 8:30pm.
I tried to purchase the happy meal toy separately from the happy meal. Which I have been doing at this location for multiple weeks since the Hello Kitty toys. This time, the manager tells the employee(not sure her name, but she was wearing a Hijab) that it has to be purchased with a happy meal. I asked her why because she sold it to me just the other day. She said "it depends on the manager". I was shocked because I've been buying it separately from multiple locations and never had a problem, so I asked to speak to the manager. They called the manager over & the manager rudely told me that I have to buy a happy meal, I told him that it's not true because I have bought here multiple times & other locations, I told him the girl there even remembers me and she sold it to me before. He then slightly closed the window, talking to the employee, then he opens the window and says "Well, she wasn't supposed to do that so I'm going to have to write her up for that. Who else sold it to you here? Because I will have to write them up also." I decided to just take the no and leave even thought I knew I was right.
I just thought it was so rude he had to threaten to me that he's going to write up his employee over this & I wasn't trying to get her in trouble so now I feel bad for her that she has to work with this type of person. I did my own research on the McDonalds website that clearly states it can be sold separately so I'm honestly not sure if this manager just enjoys making up his own rules & being a jerk to customers and employees. I hope the employee did not get in trouble for something unnecessary.
I would've understood I have to buy a happy meal because it's happy meal day or at least to make a donation. I went to a different McDonalds on Yonge St & they had the toy I was looking for. I bought it separately with no rude manager and I also made a donation for...
Read moreI have been coming to this McDonald’s for over 25 years and the service has been good, but late this afternoon was just an absolute terrible experience. I ordered through the drive thru and was told to park, as it was going to take a few minutes for the food to be ready. I waited 13 minutes before I went into the store to enquire as to why it is taking so long for the food. I was nicely told by Syed, who was very nice , that they’re still waiting on the 2 Junior Chicken sandwiches. He said that it is going to be another 2 minutes. I said, what is the point of ordering this through the drive through and why wouldn’t they advise me when I paid that it was going to take time? I was a little upset but Syed was taking care of it. Another manager in the back, who was overhearing the conversation, piped up very sarcastically that “ You don’t want us to serve raw food, or do you?” I mean seriously?? That’s the statement you want to make? He gives me this evil look and doesn’t seem to care. I advised him that his comment makes no sense.L and that I just want food to be delivered in time, and if not, they should let you know. Then he very rudely and sarcastically again says we can cancel your order and give you your money back. Again, that was not the point. Terrible person and I am not sure how he’s a manager. Also, no other manager tried to diffuse the situation. Syed was pleasant and sincerely apologized, but no one else tried to tell Ronald to calm down and not speak to customers that way. Very very disappointed. I do not recommend this McDonald’s and...
