Multi Pasta — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

I drove from St. Catharines to purchased 2 x 5k (22 lbs. - ~$160) frozen bags of what was supposed to be Butternut Squash Gnocchi for a large event, however after cooking some up to try it I could not discern any flavour or even colour of butternut squash (see MP 's gnocchi in the left photo). Others who tried it had the same opinion. I assumed, based on reviews, that it would be excellent, however it was bland, white, flavourless and tasted only of flour and was 'gummy', unlike the gnocchi that I usually buy at a local Italian grocery store which are golden in colour, pillowy and have great squash flavour in spades (see the 2 kinds for comparison in the right photo). My local was out of it (other than a 1lb bag) so I decided to try Multi Pasta because of their reviews. I'm not a serial complainer and have been it the food biz for 40 yrs. If the gnocchi from MP had been even 'good', I would have used it. I asked if I could return 1 bag for a refund or credit for other products that I'm sure are wonderful however the answer by the owner was "no". I have commercial freezers so they were stored properly. I am also health inspected by Niagara Regional Health. So I donated the gnocchi to a local Salvation...

We’ve been customers of Multi Pasta for around 15 years, if not more. There is no place quite like it. Small, family-run, with the absolute best prepared Italian food. My favourite is the eggplant parm, which is a dish I’ve loved since I first tasted it at my friend’s place, prepared by his Italian mother. I never thought I’d find it as good as hers, until Multi Pasta. The greatest test was when my friend came over and we served it and he said it was just as good as his mother’s. An Italian son doesn’t just hand out compliments like that! And the service has always been wonderful. Once, when I had about $200 worth of stuff, the visa machine wasn’t working. I had no cash on me. The owner just gave me the stuff. And this was long before I was a regular. When I came back the next day to pay him he almost wouldn’t take the money, saying it’s the bank’s fault not mine. I have never eaten anything from there that wasn’t amazing. This past weekend Multi Pasta provided the catering for our large family event we hosted (60+ people) and they did not disappoint!!! This was the 2nd time we've used their service and we will definitely use them again and again! Can't beat the excellent service, pricing and quality!!

For both events, they were super helpful in making great menu and serving size recommendations and were so accommodating, professional and pleasant to deal with.

And of course, the most important part... The food - OUTSTANDING!!! Everyone loved it! We had lots to choose from... Among our faves were the lemon chicken, which was succulent and super tasty! Lasagna was incredibly hearty! Cesar salad dressing is out-of-this-world good! You know the food's great when even the mixed veggie get gobbled up with rave reviews!
