I went to this place for the first time last night, ordered a Lamb with rice and salad, paid $20 for the entire meal, couldn't believe how expensive it was but thought I hope its worth it. Took it home and when I opened the container, then entire meal was covered with their "white" sauce, there was hardly any rice and the lamb was covered with their "white" sauce, I couldn't make out what it was. It looked disgusting but since I paid $20 for it I thought I might as well taste it .. and it was "DISGUSTING" .. dumped the entire meal in the garbage!! I was so upset I called and spoke to "Harsh" the supervisor and he apologized and told me to come back for a replacement meal .. I told him the entire meal was covered in its entirety in their "white" sauce which I'm assuming was their tzatziki sauce with a lump of hummus right in the middle of all that white thick goop. Their greek salad was dry and had no dressing .. I went back the next day and spoke with the supervisor and he apologized while the server "Viren" smirked as he was the one that prepared my meal the night before. I asked him why he did that and if he thought that was funny. He said he didn't know .. I asked him if he didn't know how to serve a meal he should get better training .. the servers are dirty and he was mopping the floor this time, no doubt, he would be serving later that evening .. brought my replacement meal home and again it was DISGUSTING ... covered in onions .. tasted like that stuff was sitting their all day .. NASTY ... Would not recommend this place to my worse enemy ... save yourself your hard earned money and eat at a place where they respect their customers enough to serve them food that is...

I gotta notification from Uber eats that this store is now part of their list. Tried ordering my food for pickup through Uber eats, thinking it’s a fast drop in and out in the small window if my lunch hour. I placed the order at 12:38pm got notification that the food was ready at 12:55pm but find out it was not ready at all. When I told the manager who seems like the owner he was so rude and said “you have to wait sir we are very busy with orders”. While waiting I noticed several people who just walked in and didn’t order through Uber eats have already got their meals and left.

Long story short, I ended up getting my order around 1:15pm. If I had skipped Uber eats pickup I would have been served much quicker lol! The store was very unorganized, the manager was rude to both me and his staff and was not apologetic at all for my inconvenience even though my food took more than half hour to be ready.

Anyways I picked up my food and came home and noticed they served me a cold serving of rice - guess this was the icing on top of this chain of bad experience in this store. I will take my business to another location who appreciates customers and provide better guest experience next time! Try to avoid this place at all cost as management do not care about guest experience at all.

Updated: My visit was on Aug. 26th. Time: between 12:38pm to 1:15pm.

Updated: sept.2: I am still waiting for your resolution!!!

Updated Sept 3: still nothing… this is how you make things right with your customers…wow!!!

Updated Sept 7th: the guy never followed through. See this is how this place operates. No follow up to make it right! Very...

I used to frequent this Osmow's a lot because it was in my neighbourhood and there was no competition around. When they grand opened, the service was friendly, the portions were huge and the price was great! Definitely a 4 or 5 star resto back then!

What's happened is a classic case of resting on laurels. The entire staff rotated out very often over the years. You rarely ever get served with a smile anymore. Sometimes it's an employee with the biggest scowl on their face (you feel like you're being served by a serial killer). Sometimes you get a high school kid who talks so fast and quiet that you can't even hear what they're saying.

The prices have risen drastically and they got sneakier and sneakier on the portion sizes.

Chicken on the rocks is usually my go-to order at Osmow's and it's super hit or miss these days. I either get a fully loaded takeout box with a ton of freshly carved chicken and a fat amount of rice or I'll receive the dinkiest bed of rice with the thinnest layer of leftover chicken piled on top.

There was so much potential with this place when it opened but sadly, they've become just like any other franchise and the standards haven't been maintained.

Tahini's opened up in Richmond Hill last year and it's been VERY, VERY difficult for me to try and come back to this place.

But perhaps one of these days I will return for nostalgia's sake and see if I get lucky with the food and service. I really wanted this location to return to it's former glory but I don't think it's possible unless they get new management or...

I ordered a SAJ Beyond Meat wrap ($12.98) and a SAJ Falafel wrap ($10.72). SAJ is the Middle Eastern wrap that is a little different that a pita wrap, it's not as doughy, it is somewhat similar to a crepe (I realize it's not a crepe) in texture. Being vegetarian, I was really looking forward to the Beyond Meat wrap as I enjoy Beyond Meat burgers. It was not very good. There was hardly any of it in my wrap, which I suppose is a good thing, since it was really just dry, overcooked black bits. I didn't know what they were at first and then I determined that it must be the Beyond Meat. I got all the toppings on the Beyond Meat wrap, which I suppose is a mistake because it was so soggy and messy that it was unappetizing. The falafel wrap was such a mess when I opened it (see photos) that it made my stomach turn. It was too soggy to pick up. I was expecting fresh, soft falafel balls. These were hard and dry. I honestly didn't think they were falafel at first, I had to cut one open to be sure. The quality and appearance of these wraps made them unedible and they went straight into the compost. I didn't want to post a bad review about this business so I phoned them to give them the opportunity to address this, however they told me to call Uber Eats if I have a problem. Since I spent the day trying to call this Osmow's restaurant on Bayview in Richmond Hill which has no voicemail setup and no email, I missed the 24 hour window to get a refund on Uber Eats. That's what I get for being courteous to the business I guess.

Came here with my brother and ordered the student special. We arrived around 2:40 PM on a Friday and requested two student specials with rice. The gentleman behind the counter had headphones in, which led to a miscommunication—our order was taken incorrectly. Normally, a pop is included with the student special, but we were charged for an extra one. On top of that, both meals had an added garlic sauce charge of $1.70. While we initially paid without issue, our order came out with fries instead of rice, which was disappointing. Credit where it’s due: the gentleman with glasses and a mustache—who I believe is the older franchise owner—was very accommodating. He didn’t blame us for the mistake and was quick to make things right. We let him know it was okay and didn’t cause a fuss. When we asked for our receipt, he immediately noticed the soda charge and refunded us without hesitation. He remained polite, welcoming, and professional throughout. What stopped this from being a 5-star review were the small mistakes that added up. Despite the extra charge for garlic sauce, the portion didn’t seem any different than usual—it felt like we paid more without receiving extra value. In total, what should’ve cost around $22 came out to $30. Had we not asked for the receipt, I don’t think the issue would have been caught. That said, the older gentleman’s attitude helped salvage the experience. There’s definitely room for improvement, but with the right adjustments, I believe this place deserves a second chance.
