Really bad experience. I researched online and saw that the Sunday Special was BOGO 50% off EntrĆ©e (Land & Sea). Purposely arranged for a reservation for Fatherās Day. After sitting down, server presented Brunch and regular menu. Due to Sunday special, we had decided our order for 3 people. (Chicken Pasta, Blackened Halibut Pasta, Fish & Chips, and 75 West Coast Ciopinno). After confirming with server the Special, we were then told that the deal is only for evenings. WHY was it NOT specified on website and stand up acrylic stand? We specifically asked another server to confirm. After confirmation that it was only for evenings. No problem, we asked the server to give us a few more minutes. Looking at the menu again, we decided our new orders. Flagging down a server was difficult and when the server came over; we were shifted the blame because āweā needed more time. I had noticed there were only 2 servers in the whole restaurant. After telling our server our new orders, the server then explained the menu to us. Upon the explanation, we had changed our orders for the THIRD TIME (now itās all Brunch Bennys). Had the server explained the menu to us at the very beginning we would not have had to waste time and changed our decisions multiple times. While server took the menus away, she asked if we needed to keep one, I replied no itās ok. Server questioned me āAre You Sure?ā Then proceeded to saying if you donāt want it, Iāll take it away. I started to get really disappointed, without saying anything I started displaying my facial expression to the server. Server got the hint and started to be more professional and friendly after. After eating our food, I noticed that the server started explaining the menu to all our surrounding tables. Food was not bad; service was terrible. We requested hot water for drinks. Server also slammed the cups on our table. If I had a choice, I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really have nothing bad to say about this place!
My partner and I were victims of the Westjet strike and we ended up having a 27 hour layover in Vancouver. We booked a room and after getting settled we went on the hunt for dinner.
We stumbled across this little gem and at first I was nervous that we were underdressed because the restaurant itself gave off a certain decadent vibe. However, no one batted an eye as we were led to our table. The waitress, same name as me, Michelle, was kind, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. We knew we would be looking at more expensive prices but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
I ordered the Blackened Halibut Burger and the flavors were incredible! I could've eaten two! My partner ordered the Chicken Pasta and he said it was amazing. We both decided to splurge and go for desert. He's a sucker for the New York Cheesecake with Fruit coulis while I went for the Apple Struddle with Vanilla Bean Gelato. It was so yummy! I don't even know how to describe it other than delicious.
When the bill arrived we noticed the deserts were missing. We called Michelle over and asked if she had missed them. She explained that she felt bad for our situation and wanted to do something kind for us to make our situation better! She also made a joke about wanting us to remember Vancouver in a good way! Well, we definitely will. š I'm so glad we found 75West that evening. It had been a long and gruelling two days of travelling and that meal/experience more than made up for it. We were in Hawaii for a week and it was the best meal we had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame at around 11am on a Monday morning for lunch with my 3 other siblings and was seated promptly. Service was a tad on the slow side considering the restaurant wasn't overly busy. 2 of us ordered the M burger, then the avocado and shrimp croissant and the chicken sandwich. At first we were told they did not have any avocado but came back later to tell us they had got some in. Not a super big deal. The croissant was quite tasty as per my sibling as he devoured it. The chicken sandwich looked good as well but towards the end became overly greasy and started to fall apart. Biggest disappointment was the naan looked like the ones you would buy from the grocery store. I personally had the M burger and it was just average.
It came with 7oz AAA beef patty, cheddar, bacon, onions, lettuce, tomato and a side which i chose fries. Fries were crispy and and nicely fried, the burger was nothing special. Nothing to write home about especially with a $19 price tag. The patty had a nice char on it but lacked in flavor and was on the dry side. The tomato did add some moisture to it making it better.
Overall for a quick lunch its not a bad option if your staying at the hotel but would not be a top pick if i was in...
