Absolutely Terrible Service – No Customer Care and They Still Owe Us Money!
We recently went to buy takeout fried chicken, and their payment machine wasn’t working. It showed the payment was not approved, so they asked us to pay again. After trying two more cards, it finally went through on the third attempt. However, when we got home, we realized they had charged us three times for the same order!
When we called to explain the issue, which was clearly caused by their broken machine, the response was shocking. They told us, “I don’t have the authority to process refunds, the manager will handle it.” Over the course of a few days, we were contacted by 5-6 different people, all asking the same questions. Then they demanded that we provide a bank statement, which we did. After all that, they had the nerve to say they had no record of the overcharge and told us to call their payment machine company ourselves!
Excuse me?????Your machine malfunctioned and charged us extra, we followed all your requests, and now you expect us to solve the problem? Where is your customer service?
Even after providing proof, they have made no effort to refund our money or resolve the issue. They have shown zero willingness to take responsibility, and we are still waiting for our money back. It’s completely unacceptable.
This company has no customer service and clearly does not care about fixing problems they caused. We are still owed money, and they haven’t done a single thing to resolve the situation.
We will never go back to this store, and I would recommend avoiding them at all costs if you don’t want to deal with their complete lack of service and refusal to...

The portion size is too small for the price, and although it looks like there's a wide variety of flavors, several of the sauces taste too similar. The meat was nice and juicy, but not crispy, which was also disappointing. Over all its not bad, but it's pretty far behind its competitors (Chicko and Coco) in overall quality.

I went in person with a few friends to try the new vampire wings, which claim to be very spicy. Unfortunately, they weren't at all. In fact, the ddokbokki we ordered had more spice. Also, the chicken we ordered was once again small portions, and this time, half of the pieces were mostly bone. Usually, I can only finish half an order of korean fried chicken, but I was able to eat an entire order, ddokbokki, and still feel a bit hungry. But what really brings the rating down is that I noticed one of the chicken wasn't cooked correctly. Part was cold, slimy, and pink... I just set this piece aside as I didn't want to make a fuss. But then, last night and this morning, both myself and the person I shared chicken with are food poisoned. I'm taking the day off work, and they're pushing through, but it's definitely enough for us to decide to skip this store altogether in the future.

Read moreBBQ Chicken is a great franchise, and one my go-to Korean fried chicken places; there's a decent amount of parking in the back. Lots of selection for food and there's some exclusive selections (it's one of the BBQ Chicken "with Lemon" places, there's another on Robson). The chicken itself is juicy and their fried chicken game is consistent to other BBQ Chickens. There isn't much specialty/craft beers to choose from but I guess that's okay, I don't mind crushing light beers with fried foods anyways. Servers here were friendly and accommodating, they gave us some solid recommendations (the lemon cheesling was great and the "mala hot" mayo dipping sauce was nice). The servers forgot to mention a "large party" minimum surcharge (we were a party of 5, a little strange for "large party" classification; other establishments usually count 8 or more as a large party). It was okay though, the manager didn't charge us the surcharge since it wasn't explicitly mentioned when we were seated, and they provided great service anyways. Definitely worth going if you feel like Korean fried chicken...
