Ive been coming to this place since 2019 and I have been coming back every since. They used to have this great chili oil without garlic prior to the lockdown in 2020 for quarantine. And then after the quarantine they removed the chili oil and replaced it with chilli garlic oil. 4 of the 5 extra seasonings here are garlic infused and I do not want that extra garlic in there. Why is there no option for just the chilli oil without the garlic? Also, there is no option to add more salt or spice unless you want to make your whole hotpot taste like garlic. I also have never been made to feel so crazy in my life when asking for more salt or soy sauce cause all they would do is point at the garlic soy paste or say “no we cant add salt or soy sauce”. If im paying for a meal outside I dont want to be made to sound crazy for asking for just little extra salt. Its ridiculous that I have to look unreasonable asking for regular chilli oil without garlic and SALT. And no no one gave me the salt or soy sauce. I ate a barely salty hotpot that day (and mind you I have a very low threshold for salt so a little tastes like alot and this hotpot had virtually no salt). Its ok to have less salt but not even being able to add more after its made?? Where is the table salt and pepper shaker and regular chilli oil? Every resteraunt has an option to add more salt but apparently they cant even spare a grain. Its really not much to ask for but they really made me seem like a crazy customer. Not...
Read moreI am being regular customer of Boiling Point since I arrive in Canada.I usually went at least 1 time a month last years but it's been 6months I don't came here since the end of the summer. The reason I came here is I like their broth. But I don't see the staff that I used to see before when I visited on Wednesday. However we arrive at 10:25 around at Wednesday and we acknowledge that closing time is 11pm. As soon as we arrive inside, the server staff remind me to finish my meal in 20 mins because they are closing at 11pm. We said yes and we ordered the food. At the same time there is more another 2 new table is coming so there is total 3 table at there. We got our food at 10:40 around and as soon as the server put our meal on the table, they started doing their closing shift. I understand about the staff want to go home and get the work done early but they need to respect the customer that they are giving service. We didn't get a lot of service actually, they only filled the water 1 time, didn't even to give the sauces to all the table. I felt very disappointed because we were still eating and the staff were doing noise by cleaning the floor with broomstick. That is really food safety concern because the dust can fly to the food at anytime. You guys have to hire more people or give the staff more hours to staff so they will able to do closing, not the time when customers are eating. I want to see more improvement on...
Read morekinda disappointed compared to the other franchise nearby metrotown. Instead I was planned to go to metrotown, I went to richmond. The service was nice and the young server patiently explanined and solved our problems. However, I ordered the pickles with lamb and one of my favorite appetizer as usual. The appetizer was the spicy sauce and some kind of whiten cream that tasted sour and decorated on the top of the lamb. I always order the same thing!!! The pickles with lamb hotpot tasted as delicious as the other franchise in metrotown. What really disappointed to me was the lamb appetizer. It tasted fined until I smelled it, and it was sour and stingy to me. Firstly I thought about the rotten smell was the whiten cream that tasted sour, when I picked a piece with no source on it and I smelled the the rotten ordour of the meat. The ordour was like the rotten meat was placed in the room temperature for a while until they cooked it. The ordour remained to the lamb. I told the cashier about the smell of the lamb while I got my bill at the front, and I emphasized I wasn’t being offensive firstly. She responded that “you should tell us earlier” and then passed me bill with no discount which I was expected like some others restaurants did. Whatever, I left half potion of the apperzitizer on the table. Free parking and that is my 2nd time experience at boiling point in richmond. I prefer hotpot number 5 on the menu, the...
