Alderbridge Place — Local services in Richmond

BEWARE OF PARKING HERE! If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. Alderbridge Place, along with Diamond Parking, engages in predatory, underhanded parking policies, ticketing patrons under arbitrary rules. My husband and I quickly grabbed coffee from Fresh Press coffee, one of the businesses located within Alderbridge Place. Even though we parked within the parking lot for Alderbridge place, apparently some of the spots are designated for specific businesses—even if those businesses are CLOSED, you get ticketed for parking there. We briefly parked in a spot designated for Sun Sui Wah which was not only closed, as it was not open business hours, it was closed for remodeling and wouldn’t be open for a week. In the maybe 5-10 minutes we were gone to pick up our coffee that we ordered to go, we were ticketed—Despite Sun Sui Wah being closed and despite the lot being nearly empty. Also, when we pulled in, the lot was basically empty and we just grabbed any spot since it was EMPTY. We didn’t even think to read the policies because we were parking for a business located within the shopping plaza. It didn’t dawn on us that diamond parking and Alderbridge place would ticket patrons for businesses located within their shopping plaza. Additionally, We were long time customers of Sun Sui Wah, but now we won’t support Alderbridge Place, its shady parking practices, or any of its businesses, which is a shame because we do like supporting...
