John's Pan Pizza, Steveston Village (Richmond, BC) — Restaurant in Richmond

We decided to order pizza from here because we wanted to support our local business. We normally order from Pizza Hut but thought to try these guys. We placed an order on Saturday night online at 6:20 pm and was told that our approx. delivery time would be 7:00-7:10 pm. At 7:20pm I decided to call them and they informed me that it was a busy night and they only had one driver who had to make 4 deliveries. So we waited and waited and waited. The driver showed up @ 7:58 pm with our delivery. I asked what the hold up was and he said that they were busy and we live too far (which shouldn't matter as we paid for delivery). I expressed my frustration to him that if it was gonna take this long the restaurant should have informed us and left it up to us to decide if we still wanted to go ahead with the order. The pizza was cold and we had to reheat it. What a waste of money. I am disappointed with their lack of customer service and will not be ordering from here again. I suggest to anyone placing an order to confirm what the delivery time is gonna be so that they know...

I've heard a lot of good things about this pizza place, so my partner and I decided to ubereats and give it a try.

We ordered two medium pizzas: #20 garlic goodness And #33 Maui Moa

We were both quite disappointed since the name "garlic goodness" suggested it would be heavy in garlic taste. Or at least somewhat with garlics. However, there were barely any garlic flavors. I was able to see the cloves but It's definitely pre-sliced. When using pre-sliced garlics, the lost of aroma and flavors are significantly reduced.

The main point with this review, is 12hours after in the middle of the night at 4am. My partner had a massive sharp stomach pain, which led to diarrhea.

Myself however, had diarrhea at 5am, I couldn't leave the toilet for a good 1.5hrs. My stomach was in excruciating pain.

I know it was the pizza since it was the last food I ate. I didn't eat any food throughout the entire day cause of work. And the pizza was the only meal I had.

Definitely need to have their expiration ingredients date checked out and monitored. I don't want this happening to...

Waste of money! First off, pan pizza is supposed to have a thick crust... this was almost thin crust. Second, who shreds feta... the point of adding feta is to have chunks of feta or else the taste is gone. The toppings were not quality as they keep stating on website, the chicken was like rubber! Toppings were sparse! Asked and paid for jalapeños, only got one cut, maybe two, per pizza slice. I put a review on Uber about how i was dissatisfied, johns thin pizza wrote back that it was uber and not them. From time uber picked up the pizza to the drive to my place, less than ten minutes. Pizza was almost cold! I have driven half hour for pizza before and was still hot when i got home. Not to mention, cheese wasnt even browned!
