The location of this family-run place is like a little hole-in-the-wall in the heart of Steveston Village. Such a quaint little spot with only a few chairs inside for dine-in options since Steveston is nicer in the Summer where people opt to eat outside and enjoy the nice weather...
Anyway...
I tried them for the first time during their customer appreciation day (someone posted about it on Instagram) and I have been a frequent customer ever since! They have this ongoing promo on Facebook for a 2-piece chicken leg with Filipino style macaroni (elbow pasta with sweet spaghetti sauce with hotdogs and ground beef mixed in) and a drink for $5 so that's what I always order. Just show them the coupon they'll send you via messenger if you request for one.
Their fried chicken is juicy and has a lot of flavor. What I like most is the batter on the chicken because it's not overly battered, but it's still crunchy and contains a lot of the spices. Reminds me of home-made Filipino fried chicken. The macaroni sometimes is a hit or miss, sometimes bland but more often than not, it has the sweet taste of the traditional Filipino macaroni pasta. If you don't like sweet sauce, then this might not be for you. But they have other side options though, like mashed potatoes with or without gravy, or fries which are good too.
The most recent time I was there with my sister and bro-in-law, the owner Richard graciously offered us white rice to go with our orders and told us his recent customers requested rice as a side order and since he cooked a lot, he just gave more to us for free! We thought that was pretty kind and generous of him! There were also a few instances when one of the ladies at the counter gave me an extra piece of chicken with my orders and I thought that was really sweet too! Staff here are super friendly and you can tell they're all about customer satisfaction; they totally give you the warm hospitality Filipinos are known for!
If you want dessert afterwards, they also sell ube with macapuno (sweet purple yam) cakes there. I have yet to taste it but it looks really good. I have heard from those who tried it that it is. Probably next time!
Lastly, what I also like about this establishment is that they are conscientious about saving the environment by using highly biodegradable and recyclable to-go containers. You can never go wrong with that. Looking forward to my next...

Original Review from April 2024: Great little mom and pop place. Best chicken in the lower mainland IMHO 😋 Better than , Kfc, Popeye's and Mary Brown's.
It isn't greasy, the spicy is great as is the gravy. Prices are good too, $27 for 5 pc chicken, fries a, gravy and 2 pops after tax. I get this often when coming back to my hometown of Steveston.
There are a few spots to sit and eat inside but there are plenty spots outside at little parks or near the water.
Edit : Went here earlier today June 8th 2024 and I can confirm that ownership or the folks that run it changed.
The chicken was still good but somehow not as good as before, maybe more oily or as another post said old oil, not sure..
I used to get the 5pc with one side, we always choose gravy for that but the menu has changed and prices were significantly higher today.
Also we got 3 drumsticks, two large ones tbh but the rest were small pieces.
I never had to buy more food before when I had 5 pcs, today my wife and I were still hungry after the 6 and got 2 pcs of pizza around the corner.
The other thing was that they asked if it was okay to wait 15 minutes for fresh which we were okay with and went out side for a quick walk and were back in 15 but when we got back we were told that it would be another 8 minutes which turned out to be longer, not sure how long but probably another full 15 minutes...
But they now do more online orders so my sneaking suspicion is that ours was given out for an online or Uber order and made to wait again, it just felt that way.
On that note, mentioning that the prices were higher, it cost total after tax 6 pc and 2 cans of pop $35.02
So as I put above 2 months ago we got 5pcs, fries, a gravy and 2 pops for $27 after tax, now it's 6pcs, no fries but a gravy and 2 pops is $35. Inflation and Shrinkflation.
So the better way to order so its cheaper is to use Groupon to order. 8 pcs for $22.40 through Groupon was the offer I saw at that time if that deal is available when you want to order.
I should have checked before ordering. So I will check that before coming next time.
Photos are from June 8 2024 Dropped food and service ratings to 4 stars
I still like the place, its still better than Kfc but unfortunately the Proportions are less...
Read moreBest fried chicken in Greater Vancouver so far!!
I knew this new restaurant would open, so I just went and tried these fried chicken. I had a high expectation about their fried chicken. They did not disappoint me!! It was SO GOOD that they beat KFC and Church Chicken for sure!!
The restaurant has chosen better chicken as I can see, taste and feel the bones and meat that are WAY better than the KFC and Church Chicken. The chicken that KFC and Church Chicken has a very soft texture of the meat and the bones are thinner. However, the chicken from Win Win Chick-N is similar to free range chicken and the bones are must stronger. Win win Chick-N has their special seasoning. They deep fry the chicken, so the skin is crispy but the meat is tender and it is very juice. It is the BEST to eat it when it first comes out from the kitchen. We ordered takeout but we tried two pieces right after they were out from the kitchen. And then ate the rest at home. They were still good to eat when we got home but it was definitely better to eat them fresh!!
These fried chicken must be compared apple to apple (against KFC, Church Chicken, L.A. Chicken), but they cannot compared with the chicken Karaage because chicken Karaage has bones and they are small pieces like nuggets.
The fried chicken here is a bit pricy, but it is worth the money that you should at least try it once.
There is street parking in Steveston Village. Just park on the street and walk to the restaurant. There is not really tables for customers to buy and eat in. Usually people buy take out. We bought the take out and ate the chicken on a bench near the sea shore. Today is sunny! Great weather and great food!! The best is to eat these fried chicken with...
