I used to come here in it's previous incarnation to get the currant squares. Steveston's Best of British is just as charming. Mostly food with a few sundry items. The jam selection is wonderful with some I have not seen anywhere else. The M&S (Marks and Spencer) Sicilian Lemon Curd looked great with just minimal ingredients, but there are a number of different curds. Next there is a freezer with many packaged meats and sausages. A while back I got some black pudding to make a 'Full English' breakfast. Then there are a lot of spreads and sauces (my favourite is the Heinz Salad Cream). A small fridge has sweet pies and those wonderful currant squares. Sweet and sour with a crispy crust topped with sugar. The display case was pretty bare as it was the end of the day but call ahead to make sure they have what you want. The display of Cadbury chocolate is big. The fridge with drinks also has some surprises. They usually have a small area with discounted items. All through the middle of the store are various cookies/candy/chocolate. I bought Wilkin and Sons Ltd Marmalade. You can see in the pics the pieces of peel. It was so good and reminded me of when I was in the UK as the packaging is so iconic. I also bought Cawston Press Ginger Beer made with apple cider and ginger. It was really tasty with a chili kick! They also have Schweppes Bitter Lemon which is hard to find. Great on it's own or in cocktails. So if it is for you or a gift or just nostalgic, I am sure you will find...

Was in store yesterday never again Wow never have I ever had someone who is suppose to be a professional sales person be so offensive or rude. I inquired on some merchandise in the store. I was told it is only display the two old horrible women behind the counter made such a rude comment after they told me no display only. Said stupid person maybe if she as 1 thousand to a million dollars well sale it to her. and began to laugh. So rude and condescending . So others heard and shook their heads in disbelief. Hope they get fired or if on commission get none its is called karma zero in stars would be in minus only way to post this is to give a star they...

This compact corner market is practically bursting with jars of sauces, spices, spreads (Vegemite! Marmite!), jellies, meat pies, canned veg, cookies, candies, chips, crackers, and teas (but of course, darling!), as well as a sizeable assortment of beverages from the far-flung isles of the United Kingdom. If you're in need of a snack, look for the Union Jack!

Additionally, this shop also stocks and maintains the free community pantry for those in need, just outside. Big props to them for this generous and...

My go to place for all British snacks and treats. After 18 months (since 2019 Nov) they have restock the clotted and double cream. Friendly staff and take the time to explain the product if you ask. Staff adhere to safety protocols in the store. Have always come back to shop for all things British items

NIce selection of UK brand food snacks & beverages, along with seasonal / gift items (ie. xmas pudding, puzzles, tea cups, biscuits). Small pantry of pastries and meat pies also in stock. Love crisps and soda flavours different from other brands
