We had two orders of the BBQ Duck Combo for 6 pp - there were 15 of us and it was more than enough food. Overall, the food was okay; just not good quality Korean food in my opinion. The boil dumplings were nothing close to the delicious mandu I’ve had. The Peking Duck (a Chinese dish at a Korean restaurant???) was just cut up bbq duck with wraps…the meat was dry; so sad for this bbq duck fan! The seafood pancake was the restaurant’s first redemption; it was crispy top and bottom, just the way I like it and I know from experience that not all restaurants can get it right. The bbq LA short ribs were delicious, but they always are, no matter who makes them. The duck hotpot with cut noodles was very nice - the noodles were the perfect chewiness and the broth was flavourful. Some at the table, though, thought it to be too salty. The duck congee for sure was salty, but I loved the thick texture and full-flavour of it. The japchae was good, too, except for the soggy noodles. Anyway, you get the picture. Would I go back? Maybe for the pancake and congee.

Went yesterday for lunch as walk-in. Restaurant wasn’t crowded but decently filled up with ample distancing between tables to make you feel safe and comfortable in the covid times. Ordered the lunch combo for $36.99 which comes with 2 portions of noodles and 1 other dish of choice. We picked the seafood pancake after seeing raving reviews on that. Generous portions of noodles arrived. AMAZING jamppong (seafood noodles) which had light yet flavorful seafood broth! Both of us being rather big eaters could only finish the jamppong noodles and 3/4 of the seafood pancake. Seafood pancake was thick, crispy on outside and fluffy and stuffed with seafood inside! Did a takeout for the leftover for dinner, which made our meal worth it. Washroom was also clean. There was only one server when we were there.

I wish I could give it 4.5 on here. I can only base my review on the 1 dish I ordered but I have a feeling if I try other things my mind will change. I was catching a flight so I only had a little time for dinner with a friend and he suggested this place. It was empty when we walked in so I was a little skeptical on how good it would be 😅 but it did fill up quickly shortly after we started eating. The server was very nice, attentive and the food came out so quick! They accommodated my request to switch out pork for chicken (I don't eat pork or beef) with no problem. I got a KimChi fried rice, super tasty, just a bit oily. I tried the broth from my friend's duck soup and it was also very tasty. Would recommend for others to visit (especially out of towers like me).

My boyfriend and I went to Sura Korean BBQ this afternoon. We ordered kimchi pancake, Kimchi-Jjm and pork bone hotpot S. I’ve kinda want to give this restaurant a try half year. People are waiting in the line everytime I walk by. However, I totally hate this restaurant. A young Korean man took our order. Everything went smooth at first. And It started to going bad. The first dish they served is some kind of soup or stew. The server wasn’t the one who took our order. We took him we did not order any stew or soup. Then the guy came up to us with really unpleasant attitude. He questioned us that we said we “confirm” we ordered stew. Funny part is that he never confirmed after he took our order. He left our table and spoke something in Korean. This is the last time he served us. I guess he pushed his duty to other associate. Several different ladies and guys helped us with serving 3 dishes we ordered, side dishes and check out. Whole time we eating in sura was okay. Quality was ok. Don’t order kimchi pancake. Kimichi JJm tasted pretty good. When we checked out, a lady expressed that you need two boxes right? I did not get it at first place. Then my boyfriend told me people usually ask customers to pack leftovers. The lady did not explain this rule to us, instead she took our leftover in the back. The guy whose took our order packed our leftover, and he and other workers laughed so loud for something. I am too afraid to eat my leftover … so I wasted them. … This is one of worst experience I had… I wonder how the server can treat us like that. He blamed us and gave us bad attitude…. I am NOT GOING TO this...

Great place for Korean Chinese food. They currently have a special price for their Peking duck. I usually come for the Peking duck and the Jjangppong / ja jung mein and deep fried chicken/ pork combo; which is enough food for three people. The jjanppong soup is so unique from any other place; there is a unique smokiness to the soup, it’s delicious-You know it when you try it yourself! Everything here is better than your average Korean restaurant. You see the owner greeting the customers and cooking. It’s got a real mom and pop feel. Best to call ahead to confirm that they have a duck saved for you as sometimes they sell out. I try to come here once a month and bring out of town guest here. The service is good, staff are friendly, and prices are fair. It’s a easy go to restaurant when you want something...
