Last time I ate at this place was roughly 5 years ago. Was really wanting some good Japanese food, so I decided to visit again.
This place has a really nice, decorative interior, but can be a bit dim/dark in terms of lighting. It's a smaller store, so seating can be a bit cramped but can still seat a large party.
Service was phenomenal as the servers actively come check in with you and change out dirty dishes or dishes full of shells and refill tea.
The food is on the pricey side, but the quality matches that. On top of that, each dish is also well presented. We ordered assorted sashimi, fresh oysters, steamed clam sakemushi, and a AAA Angus beef sukiyaki (for two). Everything was really good in taste and quality. The fresh oysters were big to my surprise as compared to others that I've had in other Japanese or even Western restaurants. The clams were cooked just right, and the soup is just unmatched. Rich with sake, which I personally really like. The sukiyaki is a good deal in price. It comes with a pot stuffed with food as seen in the photo and vermicelli underneath with beef for you to cook on the side.
This meal definitely delivered. Really brings me back to the time when my family and I last sat down together to enjoy a good dinner on a night out some years ago. I will definitely try to come back again with them.
7/10 would recommend this place if you want some good quality Japanese food with some money to spend, or if you are looking for a good night out...
Read moreOverall horrible service. The story was I ordered salmon salad but salmon sashimi was served. During the time I went out for buying a bubble tea for my wife, the wrong food was served and my wife did not really pay attention toward what I ordered, she ate one piece of sashimi; when I returned and made the complaint toward another manager lady, she grabbed the waitress who served the wrong food, the waitress admitted that she accidentally served the wrong food by saying “yeah yeah yeah, I served wrong food” then her communication stopped there, but her tone really sounded like it’s my fault or it’s not big of a deal by serving some similar food. Then the manager lady kept saying that we already ate one piece with a horrible attitude. I never even expected them to swop or refund me, just wanted to clarify that I ordered salmon salad, all I want from them is just pay more of attention, that’s it, if the waitress can’t remember what I ordered by memory then just write it down on a piece of paper. All of them really made it sound like it’s actually my fault for making a complain when they served the wrong food. My worst experience ever, been a loyal customer at this restaurant for 10 years, will never go...
Read moreStepping inside this establishment I was greeted by the comforting warmth of rustic decor and a cacophony of greetings. The service was thorough and ever present, and the food came out quickly, with only a single straggler. I tried a variety of dishes, including chicken, beef, and bacon wrapped asparagus robata; mushroom and corn yaki; eggplant and steak teppanyaki; and deep fried mochi. I was particularly pleased by the teppanyaki, the eggplant had a delightfully thick sauce and the steak was tender and juicy. The food was a bit more expensive than I would have liked, but overall I enjoyed the experience and would consider...
