Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Richmond

Very bad service left in tears in disbelief this is how this restaurant manager treats customers , i came in with my bf we have never been here before, i ordered chicken and beef on the rocks, the lady was very rude barley said anything after i ordered she proceeded to take next orders even tho she was only one there so we waited as we waited i told my bf do toppings come with it and he was unsure and said we would ask when she started, she started doing online orders and touching her gloves with computer and also on counter where cash is, then proceeded to touch the food and push the rice down with same gloves, i was already overwhelmed as she didnt ask if we wanted toppings and seeing her touch her gloves on everything then directly on the food i let her know i would rather a refund as it is not sanitary she proceeded to tell me i wasnt going to get a refund or my food and i can go. I told her im not leaving with out the refund as i didnt get any food. She said she didnt care, shes the manager and doesnt care told me to leave a review and leave. Proceed to tell me she doesnt eat beef so she isnt going to refund it as she cant eat it, i started getting upset im not going to leave without food or my money she said loudly infront of other customers “WHY ARE U CRYING? U have problems then proceeded to tell me she works for her money to send back home, no idea why the had anything to do with me she would rather fight with customers then give me a refund for food i didnt want to eat after the way she handled it so unsanitary and no care to ask if we wanted anything extra on it i didnt know and would have paid if she didnt touch everything before hand...

I came in with my mom on Thursday, Oct 16th, 2025, between 8:45pm-9:15pm... I wanted to introduce her to Osmow's because just a day before I had gotten her a wrap from this location that she really liked!

Ordering was quick and fast, but I realized I had made a mistake after ordering the chicken on the stix... I had meant to order the chicken shawarma poutine... Gurleen noticed me looking somewhat sheepish when I approached the counter, and asked if she could help me... I told her the mistake I had made. She waved it off, and told me that it was not a problem... Gurleen immediately addressed my issue, and helped me resolve it on the spot! I was super appreciative of her swift action, and how she was kind and genuine in her tone! Thank you immensely Gurleen for helping me out! My mom and I really enjoyed the poutine! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😊 Will definitely come back in the near future for the delicious food, and most definitely to this SPECIFIC location because of the superb service- thank you again to Gurleen! 👍🏼✨

I want to make a brief description here. Do not come here if you're looking for authentic shawarma Turban staff is really egoistic, not polite They keep some pre cooked shawarma not shedding off from rack. basic shawarma just like meat and sauce nothing else Employee does not know how much ratio of sauce and meat to put in. Staff ruined my $13 lamb shawarma, I asked for hot sauce bcz i know i can handle spicy food but believe me they freaking put like 3 X korean spicy sauce which was unbearable even for me as well. I personally don't want welcome and thanks from employees but business ethic was clearly missing there. I ate my shawarma despite of hellish spice in there and not going for refund but clearly people going there just watch carefully what they are putting in your food. Not even 1% close to authentic middle eastern food. I have tried a lot of much better place around in city. lastly, it is not worth to even try. do not waste...
