Storey's Cafe — Restaurant in Richmond

Worst catering service and worst food ever On 16th Feb 2024, we appointed Storey's catering service for the celebration of our daughters birthday. The food they served were comparable to the street foods. Highly disappointed with the catering people and food quality Firstly, their service were super slow, guests were waiting for cocktails and starters. Secondly the catering boys were too lazy to move and the manager who was in charge was the most cunning person ever met, his only intent is to save food or steal in other word. Thirdly, the catering boys were taking the whole day just to prepare the drinks and serving the cake, the guests were literally irritated. We made a live pasta counter, but the person making pasta was so slow that half of the guest could get the chance to eat. Coming to the food, it's comparable to the road side food, the chicken is half boiled chicken literally floating on a tub of water, The food was so hard, rubbery and cold, that no one could finish their meal. We were much ashamed of the food to our guest, all because of the wrong choice of taking food catering from Storey's, that too so expensive.

Whoever reading this,please never go Storey's Cafe...

The person making my food had failed to wear gloves while preparing my breakfast wrap. Not sure if he was intentionally trying to disrespect me (because unlike him, I’m a POC - brown person) or if he was going through something personally, to forget. He was sat at the cafe tables, drinking something when I entered the store. He went behind the counter when I was looking at the menu and once an order was placed, started preparing it without any gloves. He also didn’t seem customer friendly to me, so I didn’t feel like talking.

Beautiful cafe with a great cause.

Unlike most cafes this is a non profit. The building houses Storeys which is a non profit coalition of four different agencies working together to get low income people back on track by providing them housing and job supports.

The server at the cafe was kind and compassionate. Even though faced with a big line and she was the only one there she made sure we were all taken care of.

The funds go back into the non profits. Do visit and buy from here instead of enriching corporations like Tim Hortons...
