Tip: park at the back parking lot and walk through the corner to go to the front haha. The lady that served us is always so nice. My go to spot. They even brought out some drinks and a side dish to celebrate my birthday 🥰.
I find the seafood fresh, and it’s not one of those places where they use the same flavouring and sauce for majority of their dishes, you can actually taste the difference in the dishes! A lot of people do takeout for this place- my family would have this to pair for some beer and wine (like late snacking after dinner haha or what we call the second dinner)
Escargot - if you’re new to eating snails and want it easier to pick out with your toothpicks you can try the escargot. It has bigger piece of meat! The flavour is not too spicy, just so fragrant and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ordering a bowl of their steaming hot rice and drizzling all the sauces from the dishes to eat with it 🤤.
Marinated geoduck- it’s my go to thing I like to order, it is a bit smaller than my first time but maybe it’s a seasonal (what seafood is in season kind of thing).
Uni oyster- it’s not bad considering the price point. It’s like $4 per oyster/uni whereas in fancy restaurants it can be $4.13 for the one oyster alone!
It’s a small place so the biggest we got was around 6 folks on stools as there were two tables of 2 ppl on...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant I have ever been in my entire life. First, my wife & I ordered for the marinated shrimp, marinated squid, and the marinated oysters. Who would have thought that they would be marinated in the same kind of marinade as the taste would all be the same? But they were! The marinade was like just Kikoman sauce with cilantro. And all 3 were served cold as in refrigerator-cold. In short, the taste and overall food quality was so bad. Second, how can this restaurant put a $28-price on something not at all fresh? When I first saw the menu and the prices, I thought that food must be of high quality that’s why it’s pricey. But it’s like they bought cooked shrimp from Superstore and bathed them in Kikoman sauce. They didn’t even serve the whole cooked shrimp platter you buy from Superstore for 8 to 9 bucks as portions are so small for such a pricey tag. Third, it’s a 3-table restaurant and there’s only 1 server. There’s a long gap between orders because the server was busy on serving takeouts. We even waited for 5 minutes to get the bill. It’s no big deal to wait if your overall experience is okay. But it becomes so frustrating and even mind-boggling as to why such a lousy restaurant get so busy with such terrible and...
Read moreI think we lucked out in choosing the right stuff hehe.Take a look at the photos and see! For what we chose it was around $55 per person with tips.
Things to note: -place is small, can fit like one group of 6, but wouldn’t do bigger than that! -a lot of the items will be more cold marinated dishes and either partially cooked or raw! If you don’t like that, then it may not be a place for you! -the lady serving us was so so sweet 🥺🥺❤️
Should try: -geoduck (raw) mm like sweet sashimi with a nice vinegary marinade periwinkle snails. Flavoured well with a thicker sauce - which by the way tastes great if you put it on a bed of hot rice :) the snails didn’t have sand in it yay! seafood tower. The crab flavouring - mm and the conch at the bottom was my fav. They had musssels and clams at the bottom too. The sauce is more of a light tomato base from what I remember
