I recently visited Niloo for the first time, and while the staff were friendly, and the food "OK", I have some suggestions for the owner that I feel would provide for a huge improvement:
The lighting is horrible. It's what one would find in a Dollar Store or Wal-Mart, and is obviously just the leftover lighting from the previous tenant. If you were to simply replace all the mis-matched bulbs with ones more appropriate for a restaurant (3000 Kelvin - less blue and harsh), it would be transformative to the ambience.
Instructing the seated customers to clear their own plates & cutlery into the appropriate bins was a surprise, and just made the whole experience seem tacky.
At one point during our meal (and conversation), a loud blender was turned on for quite some time, and its location was right near where people were sitting. I suggest that it ought to be located in the back, or if that's not possible, prepare those blended items out of store hours and refrigerate them. It was really off-putting.
Music. When people go to a Chinese, Indian, Greek (etc) restaurant, they want to have the whole immersive experience; a little escape from what is culturally familiar, and the background music is a key component. The background music playing at Niloo was just generic North American drivel, and it just didn't fit, it provided for a huge disconnect. You are offering "Persian" food, so if you were to play some sort of nice Persian music, it would again add massively to the overall experience.
The food. I ordered the Beef Kebab, and while the amount of meat was sufficient, the amount of white rice was enough for four people. The whole tomato was burned black, and we know that any blackened/burnt food is carcinogenic, so I didn't touch it.
You're off to a good start, but it is those who pay attention to detail that...
Read moreWe chose Niloo to cater our wedding dinner for 4o guests, and they truly exceeded our expectations. From our first contact, they were clear and transparent about pricing. Aylar sent me the details of the food and its prices, which made planning so much easier and stress-free. What really stood out was how flexible they were with the menu. They worked with us to create food that was not on their regular menu (such as Morasa Polo and Bell Pepper Dulmeh) and catered to our guestsâ dietary needs (vegetarian options), without ever making us feel limited. The food was delicious. Our guests couldnât stop raving about it! The team was professional, organized, and kind throughout the whole process. We chose to serve our dinner ourselves as it was a bit of a casual wedding. The Niloo staff was on time, and they even left their portable food warmer for us. Highly recommend Niloo if youâre looking for catering thatâs not only delicious, but also thoughtful, flexible, and reliable. They were a huge part of what made our wedding dinner...

The kebab was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, while the fragrant saffron rice was a wonderful accompaniment that elevated the dish. We also tried their naan kebab wrap, and we instantly fell in love with it. The wrap was fresh, flavorful, and satisfyingâa perfect option for a quick bite or a...
