It's open again!!! I've left my prior review at the bottom because honestly a lot of it still rings true. Incredible service, the best lobster roll you'll ever eat in this province, the renovations they've done at their new location are amazing. I highly recommend, and am looking forward to March Hares planned evening menu. The set up allows you to watch the chefs prepare the food, and their passion is evident! They're house aging meats, I had the pleasure of trying the bresaola and it was fantastic. Check their Instagram for updates to the menus, they change it often based on what they have coming out of their dry ager.
Unfortunately March Hare is permanently closed now.
I can't stop raving about March Hare! The food is amazing. The chefs are always up to something interesting, and give great recommendations. The lobster roll is phenomenal, and they have great ramen. Weekends this summer they've been shucking oysters and the ones they're serving up rival any big city's best raw bar. Their Saturday specials are worth a look at, too. I had the best pulled pork there last week and I don't even like pulled pork?! At least I didn't..

Read moreLocated in Christina St across Lochiel on the other corner from the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery. Has a fine foods menu including Beef Tartare, Duck Confit etc. Portions are a good size -- having been to similar restaurants before and getting minimal amount of food that doesn't come even close to covering your plate, that was a nice surprise
I got the Beef Tartare, which includes shallots, capers, chives, it was a perfect blend of flavours and the sauce was a great texture. Paired it with a glass of red wine recommended by both chefs, I'm sorry I don't remember what it was now, but nothing I've ever seen on another restaurant menu. They have just been establishing their wine menu and it's not online yet. Complemented the dish nicely
My husband had The Burger, made with 2 dry aged Chuck and brisket patties with aioli sauce. He tasted the difference in quality and was a good portion size as well. Served with frites which were cooked in a different, finer oil.
Tasteful decor, lots of window seating.
Service was warm, friendly and professional.
We look forward to a future visit and next time I want to try the Sakura Pana Cotta dessert which is a matcha cheese cake with chai syrup...

A couple of friends invited us to go back there and give them another chance to impress us. It worked!!!
The lobster roll is just amazing. Very well served, fair price, and the most important, it is delicious. That is what we expect from them! The fries, in my opinion, are still over fried, what made them dry inside. Maybe that is what they want it to be, I'm not sure at this point anymore.
So, I came back to make this comment fair and given them a better score.
You definately should try the Oysters and the Lobster Roll here. You won't regret!
Original review:
I order the fries and the cheese. The fries were burn and dried. The cheese had no taste and was very fat. Honestly, I might had to high expectations based on all other comments. Disappointed.
Edited: I've been at Alberto's yesterday, and I had a decent fries for $4. So, I taught 3 stars for a fries that cost me twice as much, in a place that is fancy enough to sell Lobster dishes, was too much. Very disappointed, specially after read all the good...
