My family ordered food here last year and it was amazing. I wasn't very fond of some dishes, but we have shopped and eaten at restaurants here since I was a child, and I've known people that went to the high school up the road so it's a familiar place for me, being there for a very long time. There used to be a blockbuster next door when I was little we used to buy movies from and it was always this quaint little strip mall close to a lot of restaurants and gas stations.
I saw a guy at GT a year before it closed who looked like a guy I was friends with online who ended up walking north from GT toward this area, after we had eaten there. My family and I used to drive up avenue g passed 22nd to get to home depot in the north, since we've lived here my entire life, passed tsui king lau and Bedford, so it's a nice area. My family and I have been supporting this local business for the last 30+ years, through all the different owners and the constant increasing prices. Our family has stayed loyal through and through, raving about this place to all our family and friends.
Today I ordered hot and sour soup for my father (around lunch time) but he didn’t start to eat it until now (supper) when he noticed the shrimp was missing. When I called to question them about it, the kitchen full out denied the fact that it was missing and told me there’s nothing they were willing to do about it. They made me feel like a liar, when all I was really looking for, was for them to acknowledge their mistake.

I don’t like to leave poor reviews, however this was a bad experience. The food was overpriced for terrible quality.
The lemon chicken was $18.99 but tasted like chemicals. We ordered mapo tofu, but what came out was cold cut tofu tossed in sweet chilli sauce and shredded carrot. We sent it back to the kitchen - they charged us for it with an eye roll from the service staff when discussing the charges.
The rice pail was only 2/3 full and extremely dry. Rice I’ve left overnight on the counter tasted better than the rice...
