H3- Chicken balls were all different sizes. Some had cooked batter and hard, others were not fried crispy.
S9- Vietnamese Spring Rolls were all small, bitting into rice paper that has little filling felt like a thick roll of chewy rice roll. There were only 2 out of the 6 that were done okay. These were a big disappointment 😞
N3- Fried Thick noodle (chow mein) with beef has a paste like texture. I think the noodles were overcooked and cause the whole dish to be gummy. I do not suggest this dish. N10- Special Fried Egg Noodle with beef was great. Noodles and flavors were on point. Love the beef!
For the cost per dish, the portion/quantity size needs to be a little bit more. I feel like I didn't get my money's worth.
Sorry, but after new takeover, the food is much different! Prep and cooking need work! I don't think that I will be returning...perhaps I will order a noodle dish to eat in...see if prep, cooking & favors improve in a...
Read moreVietnamese Diner is my family’s new favourite restaurant. I ordered 2 times already, first from the skip the dishes and second for take out. My eldest is a very picky eater but when he tried Banh Mi, grilled chicken thigh Banh Mi, it instantly became his favourite. The second time we ordered, we went to the Restaurant to order for another Banh Mi, the server suggested their crispy chicken and to my surprise, it’s very flavourful, very juicy inside and it reminds me of our beloved Max’s Restaurant’s famous fried chicken back home. Filipino people will surely agree with me once they taste the crispy chicken of Vietnamese Diner. We love it and it’s my new favourite too!I also ordered the dual style of pork platter. The pork and the sausage are so delicious! I will surely order that again.☺️ Kudos to the owner and staff of this Restaurant! I will surely go back and will bring my friends because your food and service...
Read moreLooked promising after viewing the new menu online. Delivery came piping hot. I opened up the containers and it looked underwhelming to say the least. Definitely didn’t look as appealing as the photos, but maybe it would taste better than it looked. Well it didn’t get much better from there. The crunchy chicken with tamarind had a decent flavour, but it was not crunchy, it was soggy. Also they were just wings, nothing special. The crunchy birds nest was also disappointing. The noodles were crunchy, but the portion of meat and vegetables were very small. The flavour was extremely bland. The pan-fried rice noodle was also very bland and the noodles were caked together. Again mostly noodles. Sad lonely noodles. They did provide hot sauce on the side, however it could do very little to save this tasteless dish. Overall a disappointing experience, and too bad because the menu looked like a unique option...
