If I could give zero stars I would. I went into this restaurant on a whim wanting to try a new place. Immediately I felt concerned about the state of the restaurant as walking through the door you could smell and see it was not clean. However I proceeded wanting to give them a chance. The man behind the counter was friendly but quickly became impatient when I was ordering an when I was choosing sauces (there was no one else in the restaurant ordering) Also he microwaved the rice and potato wedges before adding the meat to the top. I explained to him I have an allergy to peppers and clarified what that means. he seemed confrontational about what I was allergic too? I told him I was allergic to peppers and he informed me that I am not allergic to chipotle peppers. Which we went back and forth on for a long time because he had put chipotle sauce on my plate without me asking him to. He finally agreed to get me a new plate but instead he started to remove the top meat that had chipotle sauce on it and putting it into the lettuce which was in the veggie serving tray… I advised him I cannot have any of the food that was in contact with the allergen. He then agreed to get a whole new plate. I asked for no sauces and no veggies because they were all in contact with the allergen from him putting the saucy meat on the lettuce tray. He advised me I won’t like the food now because it needs the sauces.. I again tried to explain my allergy but he did not seem to understand nor care.. he seemed quite irritated about the whole situation. Finally in the end he handed me my food and then I paid $20. He did not offer me a discount for the plate or apologize for the previous sauce incident. The food was not good.. the meat was barely warm and the potatoes were very greasy. Also, I was only able to take one bite and immediately knew it contained chili peppers which he assured me it did not. due to this and fear of food poisoning I threw the food away.
Overall it was a terrible experience. I do not recommend this location if you have allergies. Even if you do not have allergies I feel it was unsafe food handling as well a very unclean restaurant.
I will not return to this...
