If I could give zero stars I would. I went into this restaurant on a whim wanting to try a new place. Immediately I felt concerned about the state of the restaurant as walking through the door you could smell and see it was not clean. However I proceeded wanting to give them a chance. The man behind the counter was friendly but quickly became impatient when I was ordering an when I was choosing sauces (there was no one else in the restaurant ordering) Also he microwaved the rice and potato wedges before adding the meat to the top. I explained to him I have an allergy to peppers and clarified what that means. he seemed confrontational about what I was allergic too? I told him I was allergic to peppers and he informed me that I am not allergic to chipotle peppers. Which we went back and forth on for a long time because he had put chipotle sauce on my plate without me asking him to. He finally agreed to get me a new plate but instead he started to remove the top meat that had chipotle sauce on it and putting it into the lettuce which was in the veggie serving tray… I advised him I cannot have any of the food that was in contact with the allergen. He then agreed to get a whole new plate. I asked for no sauces and no veggies because they were all in contact with the allergen from him putting the saucy meat on the lettuce tray. He advised me I won’t like the food now because it needs the sauces.. I again tried to explain my allergy but he did not seem to understand nor care.. he seemed quite irritated about the whole situation. Finally in the end he handed me my food and then I paid $20. He did not offer me a discount for the plate or apologize for the previous sauce incident. The food was not good.. the meat was barely warm and the potatoes were very greasy. Also, I was only able to take one bite and immediately knew it contained chili peppers which he assured me it did not. due to this and fear of food poisoning I threw the food away.

Overall it was a terrible experience. I do not recommend this location if you have allergies. Even if you do not have allergies I feel it was unsafe food handling as well a very unclean restaurant.

I will not return to this...

Oh man, where do I even start? If you're in Saskatoon and craving shawarma that's straight-up legendary, drop everything and head to this spot—it's THE FREAKIN' best in the entire city, hands down! I've scoured every corner for that perfect wrap of juicy, spiced meat (or veggies if that's your vibe), and nothing comes close. Whether you're diving into their mouthwatering shawarma, heaping platters that could feed a small army, or crispy falafel that's like a flavour explosion in every bite, this place is your one-stop shawarma paradise. No other joint even enters the conversation.

The taste? Out-of-this-world perfection. They don't skimp on quality or quantity—fresh ingredients, bold spices, and portions so generous you'll need to loosen your belt before you even sit down. Pro tip: Arrive with an empty stomach, because you'll waddle out full, satisfied, and already planning your next visit. It's that kind of spot where every bite feels like a hug from the flavour gods.

And let's talk about the man behind the magic: Owner Jamal is a total gem with 42 years of shawarma mastery under his belt. He's carried that epic legacy from Bangladesh to Kuwait, Montreal, and now right here in Saskatoon—talk about a global journey of deliciousness! Not only does he craft the most authentic, soul-satisfying wraps you've ever tasted, but he's also the warmest, most welcoming host you'll meet. Strike up a chat, and he'll keep you updated on the latest news while your order sizzles to perfection. It's like getting a side of world-class hospitality with your meal.

If shawarma dreams are made of this, count me in for life. Saskatoon, you've got a treasure here—don't sleep on it! 10/10 would recommend to anyone with...

Prepare to have your taste buds transported to a realm of pure ecstasy! As a seasoned shawarma aficionado who's roamed the streets of Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia, I can confidently declare that 786 Shawarma on Primrose Dr. is nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece. Jamal made us the most incredible Shawarma I've ever had and the portions were generous. We tried both chicken and lamb and both were so delicious and perfectly seasoned. The homemade sauces are spectacular as well. Jamal was kind and treated us like family, making sure we were happy with the food. Everyone else who has reviewed this little "hole in the wall" restaurant as 5 stars is absolutely correct. The food was absolutely amazing - I could barely stay quiet 🤣 Thanks Jamal, I'll be back again! Let me also add: Take those negative reviews of this business with a grain of salt. One of the most recent negative reviewers in particular has mostly 1 or 2 star ratings/reviews on his Google reviews profile. Sadly, some people just have a negative view of things despite the reality. 🤷‍♀️

If you haven’t been to 786 Shawarma, you’re missing out on one of the best donair spots in Saskatoon! The flavor is absolutely incredible – I had the chicken and lamb donair, and it was perfection from the first bite to the last. What really takes it over the top is their three-sauce combo – it’s an absolute must. The balance of creamy, tangy, and garlicky flavors ties everything together beautifully. The meat is juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right, and the portions are generous without cutting corners on quality. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the food always tastes fresh. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and make 786 Shawarma your next stop – you won’t regret it!

I took my friend there because he was told that it was a good place for shawarma. However, the quality of the food was so bad, it only rivaled their atrocious quality of service. They microwaved their food than proceeded to throw on toppings in an unprofessional manner. It ended up becoming so greasy, that he couldn't eat it anymore. This place overqualifies in all the requirements to be shut down. In the end we burnt the shawarma, if you could even call it one.
