Whoever owns and operates this place needs to re evaluate their priorities. My family suffered a super traumatic experience and needed the hospital in Saskatoon. My wife and girls were sent to Butler's for much needed food and a break from the highly stressful and chaotic time endured.. Only to be met with super unprofessional staff not being able to perform the ONE expectation they have in their job position. Acknowledge and accomodate your customers upon arrival! It was not busy, lots of empty tables as always. And servers standing around as if it's so inconvenient for them to DO what they are hired for. If you can't do your job, or don't want to be there.. quit taking a position of someone who would love to be professional with a service best attitude. My wife inquired what's taking so long to sit them, as two of my girls have serious injuries and can't stand. Their we're met with unprofessional hostility from the manager, of all people. Some words of suggestion shared about the state of professionalism and expectations in the service industry. After some time, they were finally seated only to be refused service! Refused for having a voice and suggesting more professional service. Apparently the manager hears things from the kitchen and insinuated she was being yelled and sworn at. So she said she has the right to refuse, which she does under viable conditions, and chose to kick my family out.. no service, no food, no room for having a conversation as humans. In our family, we teach and live with principals of equality and respect for all... So for this situation to have concluded the way it did is beyond appalling!! I understand sometimes we have bad days and tend to leech it out into our environments.. but a Manager needs to manage! Not bully!! Hire people who won't limit their ability to succeed, and your ability to succeed as a business won't...
Read moreI came in for a late breakfast at 1:48pm and the place was a ghost town. After 15 min one of the roaming waitresses finally took my order. The cook refused though, as he said no breakfast after 2... even though I'd been sitting there wanting to order since before 2!
I drank my coffee then went to pay. The 2 servers I'd dealt with said it was on the house and they seemed embarrassed about what happened. So that was something.
Also: A different server lady let out a large, juicy sounding and very gross belch as she walked by. Usually I only hear belches like that from young dudes after the bars close. She was the same server that snatched her tip from my hand last time I was here, and didn't even say thank you.
I also noticed there was what looked like dried baby puke on my booth.
I recommend you think twice about going here. I've been there 3 times now as the breakfast was good the first time, but the second wasn't as good and now...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel last weekend and stopped in here for breakfast one morning. We were running super late and were super rushed. Our server Mavic (I hope I spelt that right) seated us right away, bringing menus and waiting as we looked over them. I have Celiac disease and she took the time to confirm quickly with the chef as to which of the two potato options were safe for me.
She had our orders in fast and while we were waiting brought us the bill to pay for to help expedite us our on way without us feeling rushed. The food was delightful and the rest of the staff were super friendly to us. We apologized for rushing them and they said it was all good. From the time we sat down until we finished our meal was about 15mins. Unheard of the restaurant industry and neither our food or service was compromised due to the speed with which we were serviced.
Thank you too Mavic for her help and...
